No it means that if they don't send the NtK out within 56 days they can then only pursue the driver. But my bet is on that you will get a debt collector letter as they pretend they have sent a NtK out to you. We shall seeWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

hmm, and I guess that could come at any time in the future. Damn, I though 56 days would be the end of it! I'll brace myself for potential hassle and months of back-and-forth with debt collection then!
reading one of the stickies, it would seem that POPLA is not out of the equation if it goes straight to debt collection? is the PPC not duty-bound to provide a POPLA code?0 -

If they don't deliver the NTK within time then they can only pursue the driver but they don't know the identity of the driver unless you tell them so they are stuffed.
I guess they're not going to care about the subtlety between driver/keeper and will persevere?
Still, there's always the chance I'll never hear from them again!
I shall wait and see..!0 -

You should indeed in the end, get a rejection letter and POPLA code. You appealed in time, so there's no justification for them going straight to debt collector letters at all. I would send an email to the PPC again and prod them for the POPLA code. If you get a refusal or ignored, and more debt collector letters then complain to the BPA and DVLA using the email addresses shown in post #6 of the NEWBIES thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

63 days now since the 'ticket' was issued, so that's one deadline out of the way... and still nothing at all (hopefully that's not jinxed it!).
I think I'll just keep quiet until I hear anything... don't want to provoke them into action, the email may have fallen down the back of the filing cabinet!
Hopefully your original advice of sending them the lengthy email straight away has shown them that I know what I'm doing and they're just going to forget about it...0 -
After 63 days, I think it is quite safe to assume that it has ended up on the "Forum Assisted" pile and probably will then end up in the shredder.
Just pop back if you hear any more on the matter. We’ve had to remove your signature because your opinion differs from ours. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why you can not have your own opinion on here and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
hehe, I'd love to think they have a "Forum Assisted" tray
I'll pop back if I hear anything, but for now, thank you all!
Is it helpful for me to add my 'tale' to any thread on here, as a record?0 -
Probably best not to hijack other threads currently existing - they'll likely be past the state where your "tale" would help. No harm in linking to this thread in any NEW threads created about this company/PPC/location though, if you happen to reply to them.0

ok - I thought this thread would be dead and buried... I've just come home from hols and have a debt collectors letter for this "ticket".
This is 6 months after the "event", and is the first correspondence I have had... any advice would be gratefully received!
