This is how workplaces are I'm afraid. Some people are allowed to take the p**s, others aren't. Best thing is to not let it bother you, it is just how the world works.0

Thank you all so much for your input. I really and truly appreciate all your comments.
I have tried so hard to just get on with it but this is a situation that is easier said than done to do that.
Part of the reason I have been so annoyed and upset by the warning is that we have several pieces of paperwork that are legal documents and are auditable. These arent always completed when they should be. My piece of work was not an auditable document so in the grand scheme of things was not as 'important' as other pieces. I was not well on the day in question and if I had called in sick then the work wouldn't have got done. As it happens this work doesnt always get done as we concentrate on the auditable documents first. Ideally all the work would get done all of the time but that is just not physically possible.
The point that the disciplinary process is not applied fairly what Im so peeved off about. I have to stress that I dont want anyone to get a written warning for not completing work. A verbal telling off or even just being spoken to would more than suffice.
I probably havent made it clear that I dont believe at all that I have been discriminated against for my mental health issues. I do know though that at the time of my 'offence' I wasnt well anyway and I was in the middle of an anxious episode so I couldnt give a good account of myself at the appeal which I could do now as I have a much clearer head as it were and am on medication now which is working better for me.
Thank you Philanthropist. You have been a great help and I will check out the link you have posted.0 -
Hi again everyone. Just a quick update to the thread.
I spoke with my current manager again who said that a meeting with me and my old manager was a good idea and I agreed to this so will be having said meeting soon when it is convenient. I said I would like my current manager to also be in attendance at any meetings and they agreed.
Philanthropist, I spoke with the people from the link you sent and they cant help me as Im sure I wasnt discriminated against over my issues.
Reading back over what Ive said I now dont believe I have been discriminated against but I have been victimised. I had the wrong terminology in my head.0
