Hang in there with the anti depressants they often take longer than four weeks to kick in. I've been on and off Prozac for years and for me it's usually six weeks before I feel any effects. The good news is that it doesn't just stop at feeling better, once the pills really kick in you'll feel ready to take on the world!
You sound like a wonderful mum, hang in there for your boy.
By the way has anyone mentioned Wikivorce?0 -

If it has come from the court, don't worry about not having legal representation there - I represented myself, and the judge was very kind and sympathetic to me!
Im sorry, I meant the solicitor sent a covering letter and the court papers attached.2025 Mortgage start £378K 2025 Overpayment £103 Savings Challenge 2025 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0 -
Thanks for posting.Sounds like a really, really horrible time. I'm not surprised you feel so anxious.
My view on moving is to stay put.
If you move (away from your ex and his family) that is likely to add fuel to the fire. I wouldn't normally suggest that you have such consideration for them but they are doing quite well at making your life hell and I imagine the situation would escalate if you moved. You do not need any more stress to try and deal with. Especially if you're not going to have support from your family (your Mum) if you do make the move. In fact I imagine it would be very painful to have no support from your Mum when you need it. And even more so if you've made a move closer to her.
Just seen your update: I don't have experience with family issues and the courts but I am aware that a lot of people represent themselves at court. Please don't feel too overwhelmed that you can not afford legal representation. I'm sure you'll find many helpful resources on the internet to assist you.
Ive decided Ill give a year and then go. No doubt there will be restrictions on how far I can go without his permission.
Ive spent all evening researching and Im unclear if I will get help financially. I left my ex 7 years ago after suffering domestic abuse and my son was 3 at the time and was witness to the last occasion. As 7 years have passed, do I still qualify when asked 'have you suffered DA ect'?2025 Mortgage start £378K 2025 Overpayment £103 Savings Challenge 2025 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0 -

Ive contacted the childrenslegalcentre and she just cleared a few things up for me. Im not entitled to legal aid, I wish I was as Im second thinking whether Im capable of representing myself.
I did some googling of his solicitor, it says he excels in helping grandparents and is keen to help victims of domestic violence...hes backing the wrong horse then!2025 Mortgage start £378K 2025 Overpayment £103 Savings Challenge 2025 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0 -
