Hi folks,

ISA season is pretty much upon us, and though we don’t know what rates will be like this year yet, we're starting to do some digging and want to know if you've heard anything through the grapevine.

Things like details of Santander's new ISAs, rate changes or deals exclusively for existing customers, anything at all really!

As ever, your help is much appreciated :)

  • As an existing Santander customer I've just spoken to the ISA team (on 0800 587 2764 - don't use the published 0845 number!). My current easy access Cash ISA rate plummets from 2.5% to 0.5% on 4th April. The best easy access Cash ISA they can offer at the moment is 1%. However, the rep' I spoke to told me Santander are having their interest rate conference today and this could result in new products being available to customers next week, so watch this space!

I've heard this too though rate increases aren't likely be more than a couple of tenths of a percent.

Reducing their fixed term 123 ISA from two years to one would at least match other banks current offers and perhaps encourage me to stay with them.

Even 2% would be nice right now!

Yes, the Conference was today. Yes, the new ISA rates were announced. No, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say what they are yet, sorry!

Sad state of affairs at Santander if their employees aren't even sure what they are allowed to say publically.

One of the offers is apparently 2.3% for a 2 year fixed ISA for 123 and Select customers. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=64891568&postcount=73
