New Forum Layout -- WARNING !!! --

You may like to think twice about trying the new forum layout.

I logged in as "hamster", followed the links, clicked on the link to try the new layout and got a blank page.

Since then I can see the forum until I log in but after logging in every page is blank.

I need to log in to turn the option back off but when I log in I can't access anything so my account is effectively dead.

I've tried 5 different browsers and a mobile phone so it's not a browser issue.

Others don't seem to be having a problem so I don't know if it was because I was still on the old layout or because as a comper I have thousands of subscriptions to threads.

I've sent off an email to ask if MSE can fix my account but if not then hamster is no more

I always open links to the new forum layout in a new page - that way you can revert back to the old format if things go wrong. Bit late to say that now but could save others from the loss

I've been testing it for a few days now on & off & also the Alpha forum redesign & keep reverting back to the old one ok.

I am staying away from the 'new look' if it is causing problems!! I like it the way it is here and now!

I think I would rather wait until they have ironed out all of the problems first.

Unfortunately it is a well known fact that Hamsters do not have a long lifespan so I am fearing the worst but hopefully it is just a case of dizziness from spending too much time on the wheel and normal Hamster life will be resumed soon

Sorry to hear about your problems. There's a Help button at the top of the screen. Please can you click it, and send an email to the appropriate email address?

You seem to have been a little unlicky as we have a few hundred people switching back and forth between forum versions without issue. But we still need to investigate this thoroughly. So please get in touch. Thank you.
