Back to the subject however - I followed the advice on the stickies and although I appealed that the markings in the car park meant I was within what I determine to be a bay - I won on the grounds recommended that the fine was not a genuine pre-estimate of loss. This was the winner and I would not have know were it not for the help of those on here so thanks all. Anyway - stickies, read up, and win - good luck - it works!!!

    hi,
new to the forum, but need some advice.

On Sat 22/2/14 myself & a few other ladies organised & attended a charity event / donation collection for rescued greyhounds & lurchers. We were invited along to a retail store, situated on a retail park.

Go straight back to the retail store / car park owners - or whoever it was who invited you / gave permission for your collection and ask them to get this nonsense cancelled.

You are in the wrong section so hopefully a mod will transfer this thread.

As you are new - folks should have politely pointed this out.

Do not worry as neither you nor the other charity volunteers will be paying.

Have a look at the stickies at the top of the parking section, especially the 2nd one for newbies - and perhaps post again.

    You will get support there.

Good luck and keep up the good work.

    This.

The store who invited you don't run the carpark. The owners of the retail park contract it out to the people who sent you the fine. The store management SHOULD have a process to inform the car park management of "staff"/contractor/other vehicles who can stay longer than the limit - they forgot. <shrug> I'm sure it happens regularly.

A quick letter from the store management should see it cancelled.

Seems a bit harsh for you to nominate a post as being the "daftest" then admit because of your own ignorance you don't know what it is about??

I know what a QR code is.I have several scanners on my phone. But if I am on my PC as i am now that code is useless.

If i was on my phone then how can i take a picture of my phones screen with my own phone?

A simple URL link would have been a better option would it not?
