ridiculous parking fine at charity event

hi,
new to the forum, but need some advice.
On Sat 22/2/14 myself & a few other ladies organised & attended a charity event / donation collection for rescued greyhounds & lurchers. We were invited along to a retail store, situated on a retail park.
I personally run a non-profit organisation & we were there with our hounds on behalf of a registered charity, collecting & educating people about adoption, the racing industry & rescue dogs.
This morning some of us have received £90 fines for "overstay" in the car park.
I must admit despite being ex-police myself I didn't notice any restriction signs & I don't know what the time limit was, but personally I was parked for 196 minutes. Im sure the signs were there though.
The other ladies were there longer than me as they were actually organising the event, the "fine" is from a company called "total parking solutions" & they are BPA approved.
We sadly had a poor turn out as it was a cold, wet day & we didn't raise much in the way of funds, just £77 between 10am - 4pm.
Yet some of us (so far) have received these ridiculous fines.
Can you offer any advice?
We all work hard for these rescues & give up our time for free, I would imagine that I speak for all of us when I say that if we are all losing out on £90 each, we'd have rather got on with other activities that day & donated that money to the charity...........it would be well used....

And that's meant to be helpful?.
Hopefully someone will be along shortly to give some proper advice.

We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.

Please explain how that can use that code? If its on a PC or laptop how can they take a picture of its own screen?
Same with a phone. Can you scan the code on the phone your using?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Seems a bit harsh for you to nominate a post as being the "daftest" then admit because of your own ignorance you don't know what it is about??0 -

I'll post the QR code whenever I see a parking post here.
Why not, if you want to actually be helpful, just post a link that can be easily clicked on?
Or does that negate your feeling of smug superiority?0 -
Its not a fine and so what if they are BPA approved, that means nothing at allProud to be a member of the Anti Enforcement Hobbyist Gang.:D:T0
