£300 for a phone, you've gotta be joking!
Thats an average price for a phone these days! In fact its cheaper!!!! (Sim Free mind...)
Its not just a phone though thats the thing. Its a phone. Its an ipod. Its an address book. Its a web browser. Its a you tube. Its a sat nav....
If we put the price of my Tom Tom, my phone, and my ipod together, its more expensive than the iphone![FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

With the exception of sat nav, you can get a phone that will do all that for £50!Stompa0 -
The US iPhone is in the process of being hacked by DVDJohn, expect it to have been unlocked for worldwide use by the end of the month if not before. Sounds like you will need to have iTunes installed to apply the patch to the phone and then remove the US AT&T sim with a paperclip before putting your own sim back in.0

Oops so your right no sat nav

Anyway no other phones have the media capabilities of the Iphone in terms of size... the usability and compatibility with itunes is another massive advantage. Its got a fantastic HCI, and yes you can get good phones for £50, but take a look at any HTC like the HTC Kaiser, or HTC TTYTN, or even the nokia n75.
ALL cost similar or more than the iphone price.[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

DVD Jon has managed to get the iphone to work in normal mode only basicially tricks the device into switching into its normal mode. Phone services will refuse to work (due to the lack of an active SIM) but iPod and Internet services over Wi-Fi will function.SLC: £13000+
Quidco: £131.24 (paid) + £0 (validated) = £131.24
Valued Opinions: £75 (paid) + £52.30 (received) + £4.50 (pending) = £131.80
StudentPanel: £250
