Strange... all the articles and specifications they released say the Sim isn't changable. Maybe it just means other networks can't be used on it (i.e Sim Locked)

Yes, people have misunderstood it. You can only use an AT&T sim in it.

Really? How does it work then if it doesn't take a sim card, it's going to be difficult to use without a sim card.

It was originally said to have "in built" type sim's. In other words no SIM tray.. so you can't change them. They'd come in the phone type thing.

But now it does take SIM's, but is locked to AT&T in America.

As I say European one is going to be press released tomorrow with new features. Can't WAIT!

Nothing confirmed yet that I can see, but rumour control has it that Vodafone and T-Mobile will be the European carriers.

France Telecom (Orange to you and me) apparently are not favoured because they like to have controls over what features a handset are allowed to use....

The US version is apparently Quad Band GSM, so it will theoretically work on the 4 main UK networks bar 3.

Assuming its locked to AT&T, you would have to use a AT&T contract Sim & roam onto the UK networks. I don't think the AT&T prepay connections support international roaming.
