I wish I could bring my doctors appointment forward but they are really busy, I'm not coping well at the moment and don't know how I am going to make it through to Friday.

I have been crying all day, feeling really low, cut again and have now found husbands secret stash of lager that I am slowly drinking.

Can't you phone up 1st thing for an emergency appointment Bunnie?
Or some GP's also give emergancies after 2pm, worth a shot hun.

    Good Luck

Bunnie - if you need an appointment before friday, phone them up and tell them that. If it is an emergency (sounds like it is) then you are entitled to an appoinment and they will give you one. Perhaps you could ask a friend to phone and book an appointment for you?

A website that I've found useful when dealing with my self harm is:
    http://www.recoveryourlife.com/
They have distraction methods, a chat room and a forum. Sometimes it helps to be able to talk with people with experience of self-harm.

Also, if you are at serious risk of harming yourself, you can go to A&E.

Thinking of you, hope you are okay during this difficult time.

Bunnie hun, if you feel that bad you need to speak to someone. Make an emergency appt with your gp and tell them about the suicidal feelings. Are you under the community MH team? If so, they have a duty person you can phone and speak to, to help you through. I know it's hard asking for help but you have to try.

Also, you could phone the Samaritans. Personally I've never been able to do that, but I've found their email service a lifesaver, literally. They've always been a fantastic support in my times of need.

Don't suffer in silence hun, keep posting here and seek some help.

    Take care

Yawn...sorry folks I am really tired after yesterday's trip to London. I guess I am even more sleepy because I forced myself to get up at 7am - all this unemployment has turned me into a lazy creature:rolleyes:

As I had an unexpected day off today, I have done a stack of washing, tidied my flat, sent emails to my ex employer, contacted my union to speak to a solicitor (personal injury, unfair dismissal, disability discrimination and anything else I can think of), chatted to the jobcentre about where I need to be tomorrow and to make an appointment to collect an expense form to claim for bus fares and lunchfood (I had planned on taking sandwiches), also done today, contacted Collins Debden because I ordered new inserts for my filofax on 3 December and they haven't arrived so they are going to send more.

Still sleepy and have spent an hour or so vegged on the sofa, chomping biscuits, a sandwich, and two (yes two) strawberry crisp ice creams from Lidl:eek:

Saw your posting Shaz about your ex - I have a free virgin sim card with £5 credit on it that you can have, I have no use for it and if I want one I am sure that with all the money I spend with them they'll let me have another one without much fuss. So if you want it, PM me your address and I'll stick it in the post. Don't know you but you sound like a decent person and can do without some bloke doing you down all the time, its about time he learned the word NO - obviously its not a word his mother used with him too often:rolleyes:

    Love to all

I've been emailing the Samaritans quite a lot recently and they have been absolutely fantastic, I haven't really got the courage to speak to anyone on the telephone.

Thank you for that link feelinggood

Husband is coming home from work early to just come and sit with me, he has tried the doctors but they have not been very helpful.

Until your hubby gets home Bunnie stay logged in here and I'm sure there'll always be people to listen - even if you repeat yourself - get it out of your system.

Do badger the GPs for an appointment. If they are still being a pain try NHS Direct 08454647 who might be able to help fight your corner. I had to phone them after I was told I couldn't have an emergency appointment with a chest infection & cracked rib (& I'm asthmatic!). Lady at NHS direct was v.cross and said phone them back now and say NHS Direct say you must have an appointment. As if by magic one was found
