Hi Miro:hello: I agree there are a lot of new posters but some of us oldies are still around lol think i am the oldest of the lot:rotfl: but age is just a number. If you get depressed you do have a reason to be here, that is what this forum is about and just because you went away for a while does not mean you are not welcome here. Also stop putting yourself down! your support is not useless ,you are a careing guy and that always came accross in your posts. As to ccstar in my opinion she had a knack of taking peoples advice the wrong way and took offence when none was intended.I remember this was the case for quite a few posters including myself so please do not let it put you off posting in future.

I meant old as in older members of the thread, not who was nearest the pension :rotfl:

When I get depressed I no longer wnat to talk about it as I just get depressed even more :o I am caring, but not good at showing. I'd sooner buy someone something to cheer them up rather than make a fool of myself or told my support isn't needed. I also joke around as it's my first line of defence, everyone who knows me knows I am a joker :o CCStar did get upset with quite a few I admit, but i'm used to people taking me wrong

    Hey Miro,

There are some of us from before who remember you and what you went through. I am also guilty of going away for a while, then coming back to this thread when I need some support. But I have always found people, whether they remember me or not, to be very helpful. I do not repeat my story to every new person, in fact I am not sure I ever told my full story to any of the 'old' people either. I just talk about what I am going through at the present. If I dwell too much on what I have been thru it just makes my depression worse!!

I just wanted to say that you are remembered and appreciated and I remember while you were away people saying 'has anyone heard from miro' and similar.

I think if you need support or a chat there is always reason to come back to this thread. I hope you don't go as you will be missed.

Well, I didn't see the 'where is Miro' posts as I wasn't here :p I didn't fancy going through 293 pages :rotfl:

Are you sure it wasn't 'Where is Miro, so we can hide the smarties?'

I've never been abrupt, but i've been interpereted in that way. I get that in real life too, probably because of accent and missing a word out somewhere :o

We love ya just as you are, Miro hun :grouphug:

    Hi miro hun!:hello:
Tiff, Tiff, Tiff :j ...Good to see you miro angel!:T :A

Am I figment of my own imagination hun? :D
Ol' Tiffy more than remembers you sweetheart and I do shout out to you - you're not forgotten hun.;) I told you, it's like the Mafia, once you post on here, you become part of The Family! * Tiffy can hear 64 lurkers all heading for the off button!:rotfl: *
    I've missed you hun!hug.gif

    .
But that's the beauty of this thread hun. You needed to take some time out at the time sweetie. You could have pasted a couple of your posts or written a brief outline. No-one here wants to see a membership card angel, and as you well know, because you are part of it, no-one will mind you repeating your experiences.;)

Good hun - that's why it's here. There are still people around - even older than sazzy! :D - who can remember the things you've been through. You never need a reason to come here miro.;)

    WHOA THERE, BIG GUY!!!

You are not going to bring anyone else down by posting. You can post here any time hun.
If you can't post on a depression thread when you're depressed, then we might as well turn off the lights on our way out.;)
I can understand that it's hard to start opening up again angel, to a new crowd.
May I tell you what miro is to me and many of the others?

Miro is a warm, kindhearted intelligent young man who used to post on the depression thread daily. He has had severe trauma in his life and suffers from depression and low self-esteem and other things too. He is also tall and good-looking by all accounts but doesn't believe it.

He was always trying to cope with all his problems as well as helping others here. He is a master at putting himself down and does not find it easy to believe in himself or to trust others.

The wonderful thing about miro is that he never stopped trying.:T He even does voluntary work even though he struggles with his own problems sometimes.
Basically, our miro has a heart of gold.:A

Miro lives with his flatmate (known as fm) and they have rented together for many years and she is a good friend. He met a young lady (s) who he fell for and was brave enough to try having a relationship.

This person had severe mental health issues but miro didn't care - he wanted to help her, as he does with everyone, and he began to fall in love. The young woman was so ill that she was unable to maintain a relationship of any kind with anyone and told lots of lies to everyone and abused his trust. He did everything he could to help her and show her love and trust.
His heart was broken and he felt like he could never trust again and he left the thread to mend his heart.

But miro is also blessed with a great sense of humour and is cleverer than he thinks. He is a real gentleman and I'm proud to know him.:T :A hug.gif

Was that ok miro hun?:o ;)

Your English is more than good and you express yourself very well hun.;) When people post on a computer then misunderstandings happen. No-one is bothered about how good your English is angel - we care about YOU!:A To be so fluent is an achievement in itself!:j

It's how you're feeling that counts and you're always good at putting that across hun. Your advice was always good hun and to my knowledge, you never made anyone feel worse. ;) In fact, you often made us laugh - do i need to mention The Great Blue Smartie Fiasco of 2006?!:D

Some people have attitudes or issues themselves and can't help taking it out on well-meaning posters angel. That is part of their illness sometimes. I don't recall cc being happy very often at all hun, sadly.

So miro hun, I hope this has helped. What people don't know about you they will learn as they go along.;) Please hang around - the same kindness and support is still here for you.hug.gif
    Much Love,
    Tiff xxx

    Tiff

    Where to start

Pinch yourself on each elbow to test if you are real...can't feel anything, neither can I on my elbows :rotfl:

Yes, I needed some time away, and still not 100% to talk about the stuff again, even though it's been brought back into my mind. I do have a membership card though - here it is >>:rotfl: :rotfl: :j :j << I'm the one with 2 rotfl and 2 dancing :T

I was taking you seriously, until you said older than Sazzy - not that is realms of fantasy. Next you'll be saying you've found someone shorter :p

Very nice words about Miro, even if I don't think them myself, especially the good looking part :rotfl: I have a very good physique, but through depression I only do bits in the home now and although bigger than everyone else, I now have a tummy too   :o that I can't get rid of. A few have said i'm good looking facially too, but if that were true, i'd not be single, unless I have a really bad personality. Even 'S' is with a druggie and is a druggie now  I know it's not my fault and she's only choosing what she thinks her level is as she did say I was too good for her and i'd find someone better, but my point is, i'm not trusting enough to let anyone in, so everything else is not important as I can't use good points to my benefit. I know I need at least 2 bits of medical things doing, yet i'm not confident to do it on my own and it costs :(

Smarties? Who do I see about the key to the cupboard? ;)

Btw, the voluntary work ended, as they didn't appreciate me and expected me to do everything on my own. It was really boring, so now i'm working towards something else. I have someone employed to by DWP to help me find a work placement in something I want to do, so who knows what's gonna happen. I don't know if I can do it and I know i'll have to do it on my own forever, but we'll see if I can manage something

Hope you are well and holiday was good :T
