Morning folks, hope the East Anglia branch are keeping dry._pale_ I've just seen the flood
    predictions on the news.......

Well, spent a small fortune in a certain leading supermarket yesterday:shocked: , tho what on I'm not sure----it's not like I bought steaks for the p-u-p or anything! And that was after visiting a 'farm shop' for the veg!!Not too sure if I'll go to the veggie place again..it's a bit of a trek, but I'll taste the stuff first before making any final decisions. We do like our veg:o

Your boots look good Tulip, but not for me--they wouldn't go round my tree stumps:rotfl: Same goes for the slippers.......

Why do your huggies look so sad QWB? I]ahem...best Ali G impression[/I Is it cuz they is bloo? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
    S'pose I'd better go.......people to do........things to see.......
Hope you have a giggle sometime today, & Peaceful Minds folks. BMFx

Sorry Dawny, I was writing my post as you sent yours!

I'm nowhere near as informed as the Tiffster, but I did wonder if you could get some help from MIND like John has? Perhaps they may have more info on your legal position work-wise, because although ACAS are very good at what they do, maybe the person you spoke to doesn't know all the rules surrounding long term sickness? Just a thought:o

As for your dad, you will have to tell him that you are doing everything you can to get back to work, but just at the moment he is not helping you by reminding you of your financial situation. Would he read throught any leaflets you've been given about depression, or go with you to your GP so he can hear it from a medical source?

These are only my suggestions, but I hope I've given a different perspective to consider. Best Wishes Dawny...BMFx

I'm getting a little concerned about that blasted 'test'----it's OK for a guideline but I'm worried people will think themselves worse than they are.:o
For instance, I dare not tell you what my score was, or you shall definately send round the men in white coats with the key to the soft room:eek: But I'm not letting it bother me cuz I know I'm a "little" below optimum happy level, & I'm working on climbing back up to common hysteria!

Take the test by all means, but pppplllleeeeeeezzzze remember that it can only tell you black & white, when we all know that this illness is umpteen shades of grey.

This is only MY opinion of course, but at least be sensible about your "results".:o

    Preach over.......thanks.

  • hi all
feeling a bit rough this a.m think i have cold breaking, my son has had it for the last week bless him, but strangely enough feel alot better (mentally speaking) than i did yesterday.
got a busy day on ebay today must get listing to get a bit of cash in for xmas, going through a "i cant be bothered" stage with ebay at the minute, but must snap out of it. generally comes with a low mood/black cloud patch when i cant be bothered with anything and just want to slump in front of the TV.
but hopefully today is a new day and im feeling a bit brighter
i hope everybody has a good day today in the sunshine

    :o hi to all.
i had an ok day yesterday my son was 16 so he stayed off school and took me to lunch. he is a star. at night though i started to get that empty lonely feeling. its always worse when my oh is late shift and he comes in too tired for a chat or hug. it comes on suddenly for no apparent reason this feeling of being left out and not part of anything, feel lonely and uncared for even though i know i am. times like this i get v unsettled and usually spend too much on nice food an glossy mags, so today me an ma boy are watchin old eighties movies in out housecoats and catchin up on our reading. just have to resist the urge to overeat which is another of my problems when low. anyway hope all are well
