:hello: All, & here is the [knee] weather forecast for today.....both are aching so expect long periods of wet skies for the next day or two!
Tooties & Judderman, all our new buds--just jump in when you're ready-:j -there's no worries of being shark bait here! This place is like a big heated swimming pool, where you can dive right in or just sit on the edge & dip your little piggies, & there's always a life gurad to save you!
Thankfully me muvva had a change of mind & we're not going to see Elvis now...phew!And I didn't need to use Tulip's Dust so it is safe for a real emergency:rotfl: And now Tulip, you have let slip about the gorgeous west country, I envy you even more. It brings back memories of taking my gran's pyrex bowl down to the farm house, to get the cream for tea.   Mrs Jones used to make it in an old enamel baby bath & the crust was an inch thick:drool:   And of riding on the open top double decker to Woolacombe, when my dad carried me down the stairs of the bus. A wasp had landed on his shirt collar & stung the palm of my hand & the doctor's surgery was wat back up the hill we had just come down! My sister was not a happy bunny & I just wanted to use my new fish net! Ooooohh those were the days........Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Hi Tiff,
Yes my post was made out of fustration. Well not earning any mney or dole is more than just fustrating. I can't really reduce costs where I live. I could rent out my three bed house for £800 pm but a one bed flat would cost £700!!
All the work from here involves lots of expensive travel.
The wages bear no relationship to the above facts.
I know about the fact I'm still me wherever I go. Actually this is more an arguement to go than not IMO.
The morning after I wrote that post I got an interview. Another low paid job miles away but I wanted it. It would allow me to get the house ready and sort out Cornwall plans without alot of the time/money pressure.
I was told I haven't got it yesterday.
I'm now back stuck with no answers.
*Just turned tv off in disgust.
I can't watch a programme where the presenter helps a couple find a 5 bed house for a buget of £650,000 in Devon. I am so glad the BBC are helping people in trouble with our licence money!!!!!!Girls are gonna love the way I toss my hair. Boys are gonna hate the way I seem.
I would rather drown with you than watch the surf with someone else0 -
hello everyone
thought i better pop on here and see if i could get some virtual support.
i got out of hospital yesterday after taking an overdose.
have to see the psychiatrist next week and GP is now restricting my anti depressents to a weeks supply at a time ( i took 40 of them apparently).
im supposed to be fine now!!!!
Hi Tooties:hello: Welcome to the thread, you have come to the right place for support, nobody is judged on here.
I can't believe someone said you were fine after taking 40 tablets!! but as the Doctor has restricted your supply to weekly it shows he is concerned.
It would help to know your reasons for the overdose but there are no rules on here post as much or as little as you like but remember you are not alone and there is always someone to listen or give a virtual hug.0 -
damn it,roof is knackered ,gonna cost thousands and aint got the money, obliged under terms of freehold/leasehold to get it done:mad:don't get mad do yoga0

hi gemini,
the hard part now is going to be facing everyone as my husband told everyone all about it.
my reasons for doing it are complex and im not even sure myself to be honest. im seeing the psychiatrist tomorrow so i am going to try and persuade my husband to come with me as i will do my usual everythings fine and i will put on by usual front and pretend everythings ok if i go by myself.
i had just had enough at the end of the day i hate the house i live in because its tiny.
i hate my job (even though i am off sick at the moment)
i am skint as usual.
i am fat.
i hate my daughter inlaw and the way she neglects my grandchildren.
i have however decided not to have my stepsons and my daughters in law etc in my house for the moment.
my three teenage sons at home give me the usual teenagers grief and that gets me down.
i also desperately crave another child or too but unfortunately my husband cant have anymore and its really hard living with that.
i suppose it looks really trivial to be depressed by that amount of supposed problems in my life but they really get me down hence the overdose with 40 pills.
regards

Big Hugs to andi and tooties :grouphug: and anyone else who has been having a bad day.
juno, your birdy looks adorableI had a budgie til May, when he disappeared when I was on holiday
. What's her name?
tooties, sounds like you did right to ban your stepsons etc from your house. It's your house and no-one has the right to make you feel uncomfortable there. And you're list of troubles isn't trivial, so don't let anyone tell you otherwise. On the other hand, they can be dealt with so don't despair either. They're a good bunch of people here, and we're all here to listen and provide virtual hugs. Especially Tiff! Oh, and big is the in thing nowadays, you'd be amazed how many blokes prefer a lass with something covering her bones! (and I should know, I'm cuddly too!). Good luck tomorrow.
andi, I don't have any practical advice for you, but would have thought you could get funding from somewhere.....? Ignore me if I'm babbling.
hope everyone has had an ok day
huggles

Evening all :hello:
:grouphug: to andi and tooties
Tooties I was shocked to find myself very broody recently, we can't have any more either. I don't know how old you are hun, but I found an old thread on the families board and it seems to be quite a common thing when you are approaching 40. Its taken a few months, but I am starting to accept it now, it is hard though.
Juno aaww what a cutie.
I've been into the city centre shopping with DD, I have a blister and not alot to show for a marathon shopping trip. Just had a much needed cuppa.
love to all :grouphug:
