I'm not happy at all at the moment.
I am trying to lose weight, but I just can't seem to budge my horrible wobbly belly I am destined to always be Mrs Blobby.
I am stressed out because I am crap at my job.
I am getting worked up because some Ebayer is demanding money from us that I don't think he is rightfully due to.
And the weather is crap.
Someone make me crack a smile.Dream of being mortgage free....

Hi bmf!:hello:
Morning hun - how are you?
quote=BigMummaF;
Wow...QB, that is so much how I hoped my children would be, & on the whole I think I've made a good choice.
I agree - the post was thought provoking. It's how I've raised my son though he was on the end of some severe bullying and I think that has made him sensitive to people's needs. He doesn't like to see people left out - well, except for me!
We have a neighbour with a child just four weeks older than my youngest who should be six weeks younger. He is confined to an electric wheelchair with cerebral palsy & severe learning difficulties, but most folk take the time to stop for a chat as they pass.
I have a cousin with severe learning difficulties & my brood josh with him all the time. They are also very good with their deaf & cantancerous granny, their pals young offspring & huge softies where animals are concerned!
Isn't it a shame that people like the teams in your posting, are in the minority?
Makes you think......
That's great bmf - you must be really proud!:T
Yes angel, it really does make you think. Inspite of my experiences, I'm determined to still believe that the world is just as full of good people as it is bad. It's just that they don't shout the loudest so their voices don't get heard as much.
You only have to look at the cross-section of posters here - I can't remember anyone being told to get a grip or ignored in any of the posts here.:T (or in the other 3 box sets!:D ) I don't think anyone on this thread is treated badly in the posts. So imho, there is an example of the best kind of people right here under our noses.;)
Peaceful Minds folks. BMFx/quote
Hope you have a good day hun - by the way, what are your knees saying this morning?:D
Be kind to yourself angel.
Much Love,

I tried that with the group hug smilie a while ago and got nothing. Then I tried it again just now and got nothing. Must be that one smilie.

Hi gilly!:hello:
Hope you're feeling better.
quote=gillette147;
I've been in Brum for last 4 days. Seeing loved ones and thinking.
That's a good use of 4 days hun.;)
The job I trained for isn't there. And doesn't pay enough even if I find it. This has left me in limbo for the last 3 months. Feeling there was no way of making anything happen that would truely be an answer to my problems. Splitting with g/f has had the effect of leaving me without ties to this area. I've had enough of waiting. Life isn't going to knock my door.
It sounds as though you did some real soul-searching. You sound as though you've cut up everything into black and white but please don't forget all the grey bits in between hun.;)
Over the next month I am bringing my house up to standard for renting it out. Selling excess stuff. Decluttering to the size of a suitcase. Then I am going to Cornwall.
I will buy a tent and I will look into buying a caravan to live in. I will look for work where I want to live rather than living where I work.
If this is what you truly want to do gilly, then good luck to you.:T
It makes sense financially on the surface and I do actually like the idea of working from where you want to live rather than the other way round. You're trying to set yourself free. I can understand the need for you to find work hun.
Now I am not being patronising in any way gilly.;) You have set yourself some big goals gilly.
You're a strong-minded and determined person and I doubt that anything I, or anyone else, can say will change your mind. But humour me by sitting down with your plan of action angel, and play the role of devil's advocate.
Point out all the possible flaws - flooding? work - especially out of high season? a tent in the current elements? how to get your post? attending a job interview while dressing from a tent? etc. I'm sure you've already done all this but Ijust wanted to be sure for your sake.;) As well as planning for what will go right, you have to do the same for what might go wrong.
Once there I have no excuses and will forge a new life. I built one here before circumstances smashed it all up.
Please keep my resolve up during the next month as the fear kicks in.
I love you all
xxx/quote
I don't know what 'circumstances smashed it all up' where you are gilly and if you do this, I do hope you manage to create a happy life.:T
Now what I'm going to say here will probably sound odd, but there's one hitch in your plan. You can't escape yourself angel and I don't want to see you unhappy in a few months time, feeling the same way you do now but with just people's names and the geography changing.:o
What excuses do you have where you are now for being unhappy, that won't be the same in Cornwall hun?
The grass is always greener on the other side as they say. But take it from someone that knows hun, there are still some seriously big cow pats there!
If you go, you will take your issues such as depression, loneliness etc. with you sweetie. Is there no way you could improve things where you are? Could you apply in a different field - work that you did before your H&S qualifiation?
You'll be supported in whatever you decide gilly.;)
Just make sure this isn't a decision born form frustration and the need to be anywhere else than where you are now. And please know that I only said all this because we care about you.;)
Take care hun - keep us posted.
Much love,
