Surely the call couldn't have be connected for 11hours as the recipient will have hung up

It seems a bit one sided / unfair if they can charge for that.

You would also think that there was a make call length of say 1 hour set to avoid such unexpected costs

Yes! View your call log on your phone, take screenshots of it and if in your favour send it to vodafone!

plus like above have said the phone would not last 11 hours without being plugged in.
  • I love stories like this :D usually from the land of make believe.
  • No make believe here I can assure you. This is a new phone and I don't use it a lot, mainly texts and keeping on touch with the kids. The battery does last well, and I'm not surprised that it lasted 11 hours when it wasn't connected to wifi and bluetooth. The log shows the full length of the call - 11.24. I'll just have to wait for a call from billing and throw myself at their mercy. Fingers crossed.

But charger or not the battery will run out cos mine runs out even on charge.
Curious- ussually if the charger is plugged in the battery won't go flat, that's the point of charging it :P

It'll be running from the power of the charger rather than the phone, if you removed the battery it should still run when connected to the mains. Anyway all a bit academic to the OP's issue.

I thought there was an automatic 6 minute cut off if one person didn't end the call or is that just with landlines?
