Weekly Spend Challenge W/C 2nd March 2014

Hello everyone. Welcome to the Weekly Spend Challenge. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in. Everyone is welcome here.
On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. The challenge runs from Sunday to Friday so we don't include Saturdays but feel free to change the rules to suit you and include Saturdays or start on a different day.
Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track. We colour code the results as below:
Green - within budget
Red - over budget
Purple - zero spend
Orange - made money over the week
This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever.

This is my first attempt at this and i'm gonna try to stick to £20. Fingers crossed, I'm getting my daughters hair cut on tues and so am guessing that this should come within the budget as its not really a necessity?0

Morning everyone.
And hi to bankruptanddealingwithit :hello: Welcome along. It's really up to you what you include. If your daughters hair needs cutting then I guess it doesn't need to be included here and it's also likely to be a set amount. I tend to think of this challenge as one to stop unnecessary spends. So I no longer include petrol or groceries here as they are necessary and particularly petrol is a fixed amount. But if I treated myself to choc whilst buying petrol then that would be included here. Hope that makes sense. Hope to see you back during the week.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
Hi all!
I was orange last week but I lost track of the total.
I'm going for £15 again this week. Got some veggies to buy for the horse but apart from that no plans currently that would cost anything.
Today I need to spend a bit on car maintenance, but luckily that doesn't come out of this budget! :rotfl:0 -

Welcome along solong
Good luck with the challenge. I used to do the £35 per week/ £5 per day. And it was great for helping me to not spend as I didn't like to break into my £5. Now I can't afford to set that amount.SPC 18 Target £200 /0
