Can anyone recommend me a good skin, hair and nails supplement? My hair and nails are terrible at the moment (my skin's always bad but I've learned to accept this!) and I feel like I need something to get them back on track. Lots of peroxide on my hair and overuse of nail polish and polish remover on my nails has taken it's toll
Nothing uber expensive please, I'm on a budget at the moment. Thanks
One IN today:
Good Things Miracle Mattifier moisturiser. Marked down to £3 in Sainsburys today. I reckon the GT range may be in the process of repackaging or discontinuing some stuff as there were a couple of different things (eye cream and blemish gel if I remember rightly) marked down to £2.50 too.Never say never0 -
I arrived and then promptly disappeared again. Thank you for the welcomes, and apologies for having scarpered again!
I'm really pushing and promoting my jewellery wares at the moment. I had a big sort out and realised how much stock I had that wasn't listed for sale or doing anything except sitting in a box. So at the moment my focus is to make, list and sell as much jewellery as possible. I'd love to get in to selling my jewellery to local shops, but have accepted that I have too many odds and ends - a couple of this style a couple of that - to get in to that right now.
It's all well and good saying that, but when you're out of the house a minimum 12 hours a day for work, and studying for an accreditation for work on top of that, it's a bit difficult
Anyway, that was completely OT. I won't repost my whole stash list as I fear it would crash everyone's machines.
This is all from 20th Jan to today
INs:
Sure Maximum Protection clean fresh deodorant 45ml
Sure Maximum Protection clean fresh deodorant 45ml
Epsom salt 1kg
Dead sea salt 1kg
Course granular salt 1kg
Shea butter 100g
Fractionated coconut oil 250ml
Grapeseed oil 500ml
Sweet almond oil 500ml
L'Oreal brow artist eyebrow pencil, blonde 2g
Specsavers contact lens solution 250ml x 3
TOTAL: 13
The Specsavers is currently on contract, but I will be ending that this month, now I have new glasses. The sure deodorant is my HG and similarly the eyebrow pencil. The rest was an order from just a soap, so I could start making my own beauty products and to take long relaxing epsom salt baths. That has happened precisely once :rotfl: I did make a homemade version of L'occ's famous hand scrub, which works beautifully! I've also started mixing up salt scrubs with my own essential oils, and the odd fragrances body oil for my own use.
UU:
Sanctuary body butter 100ml
REN frankincense revitalising night cream 3ml
REN vita mineral day cream 10ml
L'occitane almond shower oil 35ml
Nivea sunny melon & oil shower gel 250ml
Nivea happy time shower cream 250ml
Sure Maximum Protection clean fresh deodorant 45g
L'occitane repairing conditioner 35ml
L'occitane repairing shampoo 35ml
The sanctuary body butter was fine, I'm a little bored of the normal sanctuary smell now, but it sank in fine. I loved the Nivea happy time shower cream, lovely and moisturising with a fab scent and bought it for something like 97p. The melon & oil gel was nice enough but have another in the stash. Sure - HG. The rest were miniatures taken on holiday with me a couple of weeks ago. The REN was fine but WNB (freebie from front of RED), almond shower oil is an HG and still have half a large bottle and a miniature left, L'occ shampoo was lovely but WNB as too expensive for what it does.
And for two months, that's a surprisingly small number of both INs and OUTs :A0 -
I have another UU to report! :j
Clinique Liquid Facial Soap 200ml - WBA. Had another one in stock anyway. I wonder whether I should try to find another product instead of this one I've been using for years, but it works to why try to fix that! I don't have a problem with facial wash, ie I only have this one I'm about to use. Keeping it on my radar ensures I don't go crazy anyway!Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
Hi ladies. Just popping on before I shower and get ready for work. Was online to pay the VISA bill.
So I've put together a shorter than usual PP list for April cos I just don't seem to have much that's spluttering. So here goes:-
Cutex nail polish remover
Elemis PCMC
TBS Raspberry Body butter
Benefit Facial Polish
Aussie Shampoo
Elemis Nourishing shower cream
I'll need to replace the Cutex and Aussie products above when I've finished them because I don't have any more nail polish remover or shampoo (save for a few sachets) in my stash. I really need to go cold turkey though. Emma goes to Iceland just before Easter and I need money for her spends for there plus our little trip to York. Saying that though I will feel the NEED to go into the Yorkshire Soap Company whilst there.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

UU bomb cosmetics cherry bath creamer-all right but nothing special WNBA
I've totally lost track of my ins and outs this month but I know my ins have well exceeded my outs. The fact I'm recording them as they go out is a help though

There was some chat here a while ago about how to get the last of S&G peaches and clean out of the bottle... Finally had to do this last night, couldn't get it to pump any more so left it open and upside down over a tub overnight. Didn't work! Can't cut into the bottle as it's too thick, so just kept hitting the top of the bottle on the edge of the tub. Took a while, but I think I got most of it! Such a pain...New graduate trying to get debt-free.

When I had DS my hair got really thin and the hairdresser recommended a supplement which I got from H&B, but for the life of me I can't remember the name. It wasn't marketed as a fancy hair/nail supplement it was a massive capsule and I took one a day - it did a good job. I will wrack my brains for the name for you.
FizzWhizz - can't help with the dry skin I'm afraid.
I have a uu
L'occitane Pivoine Flora Shower Gel - WNBA, nice floral scent but nothing special to justify their prices.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I also spotted the 74p Dove treatment in Wilko's; not quite the right thing for me, so resisted.
Wilko's do a skin, hair and nails supplement that I use when dieting. I was a bit concerned that I wasn't eating well enough when trying to lose weight last year. It's basically B complex vitamins I think.
UU! Hooray! Lacura Multi-Intensive Serum -Renew, 50 ml. This is the one in a pump bottle, that was temporarily withdrawn whilst they sorted out a problem with the pump. Mine seemed to work okay, for the past few days I've been using the tube as a spatula to get the cream out.
I say cream, as it is actually more like a cream or lotion than a serum.
WIBA? The Restorative Lacura Multi Intensive Serum is actually the one recommended for my age group, so I'm giving this one a go. Without question, there has been a general improvement in my skin appearance since I started using this regularly.
I still love the face oil I bought the other week and intend using that too.

I think Biotin is the supplement which is meant to help with thinning hair and nails which break easily. A girl on a hair forum I used to visit found some multivitamin with added biotin at Bodycare for a very reasonable price, it might be worth looking in there/Savers if you have one close by.
UU #52: Superdrug Strawberry and Raspberry Shower Gel 200ml; WMBA, DS2 liked this but DS1 found the smell too sickly. Replaced with a Radox Cherry Blast from stash.
UU #53: Radox for Men Shower Gel 1l; WBA, the pump on this has halved DH's consumption of shower gel  Kept the bottle and topped it up with Tesco shower gel from stash.
I have yet another gigantic spot in my chin:( and I don't wanna go back to work todayMoan, moan, moan!
