Thankyou luvlycake and dolly, my mum died a long time ago, when I was 11, she was only 45 bless her and it was breast cancer which got her. My sister has had skin cancer twice (completely unrelated to sun exposure) and was also diagnosed with BC when she was 40; thankfully, it was caught in its very early stages via a mammogram, she had a lumpectomy and a month of radiotherapy and is absolutely fine now
I will be referred to the BC clinic for yearly mammograms when I hit 40 too, looking forward to that immensely as you can imagine :rotfl:
Do me a favour? The next time you have five minutes to spare, I'd ask you all to give your girls a squeezeEarly detection and treatment makes SUCH a big difference with breast cancer!
Squeezing right now!Cookie, I think you're tame. :heart2:

Two OUTs for me this morning:
Garnier Moisture Match Wake Me Up Revitalising Hydrating Gel - not sure if I WBA as whilst I liked the texture I'm not sure it did much for my skin.
Soap & Glory Peaches And Clean - after upending the bottle for weeks and giving it a knock every day, I finally couldn't get any more out of it. WBA if it came in different packaging as it worked really well for my skin, but that bottle is so frustrating!
I will have an IN to declare tonight as need to nip to Boots after work and get more moisturiser but will post once I've purchased as not sure what I'm getting yet!"A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
Still no use ups to report after my shower although the conditioner on my Project Pan list is spluttering.
I'm off out for dinner this evening so decided to treat myself and use another of my absolute favourites which is now long discontinued - Sanctuary Boreh Spice. I used the body wash followed by the body cream and I now smell divine. I can't stop sniffing my skin!Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician....0 -
Can anyone recommend me a good skin, hair and nails supplement? My hair and nails are terrible at the moment (my skin's always bad but I've learned to accept this!) and I feel like I need something to get them back on track. Lots of peroxide on my hair and overuse of nail polish and polish remover on my nails has taken it's toll
Nothing uber expensive please, I'm on a budget at the moment. Thanks
Flaxseed suppliments from Holland and Barratt. Lots of lovely vit E and good oilsCookie, I think you're tame. :heart2:

Received my B&H gift set for a magazine subscription. OMG well worth the £3 subscription, a decent sized travel overnight bag with goodies. Haven't opened it as still deciding whether to regift itLife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -
Just popping in to say my thoughts are with all of you lovely ladies who have lost someone dear. My friends mum has just been diagnosed with cancer so she has left university and moved back home for a while. Time is truly precious x
Also wanted to say I was planning to buy some loccitaine goodies for myself to get free delivery for a present for my mums birthday but my dad and I have bought her a new kitchen aid mixer instead. She's dropped hints for ages now, I'm quite looking forward to using it myself actually! Anyway that means no ins (for the time being!) but I did buy some viscotear eye drops from work on advice from a coworker. The joys of working in a pharmacy eh?:rotfl:
Although I haven't overindulged in toiletries, I did just buy a very expensive wardrobe so I'm hoping it'll stay that way (and no more expensive coffee at work!)Toiletry spend £34.95 In: 10 out:130 -
Outs to report:
Sure max protection cream deo - HG restocked earlier this week.
Kleenex cloths - Sadly i have one more of these in the stash but WNBA they feel too much like cotton wool (but stronger) but it makes me creep. I think I am just going to face my demons and power through the last packet so I can finally be rid.No more buying toiletries0 -
I'll need to replace the Cutex and Aussie products above when I've finished them because I don't have any more nail polish remover or shampoo (save for a few sachets) in my stash. I really need to go cold turkey though. Emma goes to Iceland just before Easter and I need money for her spends for there plus our little trip to York. Saying that though I will feel the NEED to go into the Yorkshire Soap Company whilst there.
I managed to get some Aussie shampoo and conditioner in pound world last week!£0.00/£2014 saved!
