  • Hello! I'm late to the party (and completely missed it last month) as RL has been a bit of a pain in the proverbial lately!

I have however been fairly on the wagon, and haven't had any purchases Nara justasoap order I may have declared last time! My usual sp*csavers contact lens set arrived but I will be cancelling this shortly, and I'm moving ahead with using things up slowly but surely.

Will post my updates once my laptop is charged later, but hello!!!

Im new to BM so dont know if its a good deal or whether it will be any good.

    Contains:
1 x Neutralizing Antioxidant Foundation Primer
    1 x Original SPF15 Foundation (8g)
    1 x BB 5-in-1 Mineral Veil SPF20
1 x Stroke of Light Eye Brightener (5.5ml)
1 x Hydrating Lip Stain in Elation
    1 x Pure Transformation Day Treatment SPF30
1 x Angled Foundation Brush with silver handle

Dont wish to enable but their own website has a 'mystery bundle' £111 of products for £35 on today

I have used Bare Minerals off and on for a while, the primers are lovely, both eye and face, I love the blushers and eyeshadows too. Their brushes are lovely but do shed a bit, I didn't find the Mineral Veil did anything for me though, I do like the foundation but find the light and fairly light lean towards yellow and get more yellow as the day wears on. I like fair and medium mixed together as the undertones are more pink. I prefer to wear the foundation with a primer as otherwise my skin feels dry and itchy - think it's the something oxide in it which does it.
Two friends have birthdays this month, they each got identical gift bags (actually Wilko "fox and owl" shopping bags) of different bits and pieces, chocolates, a mug, posh teabags ..and toiletries.
Wilko had 75ml tubes of their own handcream at 2 for £1, L'Aimant body sprays for £1 and their own lime shower gel at buy one for £1 get 1 half price, so those were the bargains I snapped up.
They also had rhubarb shower gel on the same buy 1 get 1 half price offer. You read right. Rhubarb.
It looked as if not a single one had sold.

I'd be happy to receive that as a gift, I think the Wilko's fox range is pretty.

    I have some uu

Botanics Microdermabrasion Face Scrub - 150ml - this is a massive size and is a real LHJ as you only need a bit, it is very, very scrubby. WMBA.

So? Sensual shower gel - 50ml, this was a birthday in from last weekend and a quick uu, it smelt nice, lathered well and did the job.

    and one in

Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo - 250ml, I used to use this years ago and it is lovely, a very intense minty/menthol smell but natural. I had £10 in Debenhams points and waited till they had 10% off, I only spent £1.70 of my own money on it so not too much damage.

VALM - put the polishes out of your mind, you have much better quality polishes in your lovely stash already and would probably only be disappointed in them.

amberfinn53 - I second the MUA palette recommendation, I love the Naked dupes and the Heaven and Earth ones, with my UD Primer Potion they last all day and are really easy to blend. My DD has bought some of their lipstick and likes that too. I had an eye primer and that was rubbish on me though but I do need a really, really good eye primer to get eyeshadow to stay on.

Welcome back roguey. I did wonder where you got to. We seem to have lost Oxford Owl too.

Hi everyone! I seem to have had a run of UU's to report:

Guerlain Le Petit Robe Noir perfume 30ml - WBA, this was a gift for Christmas 2012 and I really liked the scent (berries and tea) and it was perfect for winter time. Might have to buy it again this winter. Have gone back to my DKNY Be Delicious which is my usual scent for spring and summer. However the bottle is looking periously low so might have to pick some up from duty free when I go to Berlin in May.

TBS Coconut body scrub - WNBA, I'm not a fan of coconut scents and I hated the creamy texture of this (much prefer an oily sugar scrub). Have replaced with a Rituals scrub that was free in a magazine last year.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Foundation 30ml - I have a love / hate relationship with this foundation. It used to oxidise on me but it seems ok now. It's a lovely coverage without being too much and lasts forever on my oily skin. I have another tube in the stash and will also be using my Missha BB cream when the weather warms up a bit.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer - WNBA, it didn't really cover too much. Have gone back to my Bourjois healthy mix concealer which covers really well.

It was my birthday on Thursday and I appear to have some NBI's of the toiletry variety:

    TBS Shea Whip body lotion
    TBS Pink Grapefruit body mist
    TBS Cammomile cleansing oil
    TBS Blueberry shower gel
    NSpa shower gel
    NSpa body scrub
    NSpa body butter

My mum also picked up one of TBS Vanilla gift sets from Christmas in a charity shop and gave that to me so I have the shower gel, body scrub and body butter to add to the stash now!

Hi Roquey, I have been wondering how you are doing, missed seeing you around (think of you every time I open my jewellery drawer and see the pretty bracelt I had from you:D)

Ruby_eskimo - I hope that you had a great birthday. Sorry that I have missed others, been a bit hit and miss this week.

Glad that you are pleased with your LE purchases and got some lovely free samples too. I love the Superbalm and much prefer it to Burts Bees Hand Salve (which I using at the moment and which I find isn't as effective as LE).

It's on par with nuxe in terms of freebies! I'm looking forward to trying the body lotion as I was looking at the vanilla and saffron one (when I've used all the ones in my stash of course!). I've been using the hand salve as overnight mask as its too greasy otherwise. The superbalm is doing a much better job at fixing my cuticles and the scent isn't too strong either. I'm glad the tub is plastic because I've been chucking it in my bag and taking it everywhere:rotfl:

I feel your pain, but well done on staying strong...they will still be there for the buying for you once your stash is depleted. :T

Yes, they'll be there but not in a charity shop and that little thought has been niggling at me. :rotfl:

I feel your pain Val. I went to a couple of charity shops today and spotted one of the Sanctuary Mini Must-Haves sets for £2.95. I was so tempted to buy it, but it would have been about 50p cheaper than that in the Boots January sale and I really didn't need any of the items in it as I have Sanctuary stuff in my stash. Despite this, I still keep thinking about it. :embarasse

In fairness I can't remember seeing a price on the Champneys set but the 17 nail polish set was £2.50 which was a lot cheaper than it's original price. I just hope they have gone by the time I go past on Monday.

Saying that though I am going to the Trafford Centre in a couple of hours as I will be in need of my eye cream this week and have some other planned purchases to take advantage of the 3for2 at Boots (plus I have a double points AP coupon). I also need a new concealer to counteract the darkness under my eyes until the eye cream has started it's magic and usually like Benefit Boing but don't want to spend that much so am thinking of getting the Bourjois equivalent. I only like the putty textured type. I'll also pick up a bottle of Essie top coat (which Emma will pay me back for as it's going to be my Mother's Day gift) and Emma wants some false eyelashes which will be the freebie so dont' mind picking them up for her.

I'm also going to be going into L'occitane to get MrM some Aftershave balm as he now has the tube wrapped up in a key. Am seriously hoping they don't have any tempting offers in there. I was nearly tempted to buy this week when they had the Happy Hour offers on but considering I already have a full sized Cherry Blossom shower gel in my stash I managed to resist. So why do I feel the opposite about the Champneys set in the CS?

I also opened a jar of Liz Earle Skin Repair moisturiser last night as Emma has started using the Johnsons one I was using as night cream and it's disappeared into a Black Hole ie her bedroom.

Have a good day everyone x

The body lotion is lovely. I really liked the texture and the sample size was great. I emailed them giving it a glowing review however haven't heard back from them apart from the usual auto reply. Feel so rejected. :rotfl:

7ml sample of Lancome Genifique that I managed to make last nearly 2 months. Its fine but I prefer the Superdrug Swiss Apple Serum, tbh. Not worth the £££

    Seemingly all of my conditioners.

    So,

    IN

Sainsbury's Apple Shampoo and Conditioner £1 each for about a gallon. Should see me through til the summer.
