Admittedly I got a bit flustered by the notice and fired too early - I read the FAQ but somehow skimmed over the bit about not responding to a windscreen notice, only to a postal one. I haven't had anything through the post yet but this only happened yesterday so I wouldn't imagine I would!
I didn't email immediately, it was a couple of hours after. Feeling a bit daft now, haha.
This is obviously a small local company (thanks for the info!), so what are the chances they'll do anything about it?0 -
IMHO Small to zero. You'll get the letters but thats about all.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Therefore the logic suggests that a person appealing a windscreen ticket is almost certainly the driver.
No it does not, the RK's wife could be driving, a son or daughter, anyone really, the RK could have been a passenger in the vehicle. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Yes but it shows that the ticket has been received by the driver, it's to the credit of the OP saying they are the RK , but they should not have done anything yetWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Don't fret over this minor error. The killer is the POPLA appeal - I'm not aware of any recent postings where POPLA have rejected on NTK, is all about unfair charges which we know POPLA understand, and it is impossible for the PPC to justify.
Just get the code and move on.0 -
Thanks all. I emailed back telling them that I don't legally have to provide an address and that if necessary they can get this from the DVLA and send me my POPLA code. I'll update here if I hear anything back.0

Yes but it shows that the ticket has been received by the driver,
Once again, not necessarily. If the RK had been a passenger in the vehicle and returned to the vehicle before the driver and pocketed the invoice, the driver might know nothing about the ticket.
It is no more far fetched in my opinion than the thousands of tickets which are turned over by the wind. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

This wasn't daft at all. From what I have read you emailed as the keeper, in an early response to the windscreen ticket.
That is EXACTLY what I recommend in the NEWBIES sticky thread, for a small-fry AOS member. This is indeed a small firm, so you played it right. You know if you want to you could email them your postal address too, and demand that POPLA code nice and early, if you prefer not to leave it hanging until they get your data (you would be saving them £2.50 so would be doing them a favour).Yes but it shows that the ticket has been received by the driver, it's to the credit of the OP saying they are the RK , but they should not have done anything yet
I disagree when it's a small PPC like this, often it's more hassle to wait and then the next thing is a debt collector letter 4 months down the line, and the person has to complain to the BPA etc., the appeal is lost sight of and the case may never be dragged to POPLA stage. There is a bit of a game to play and the OP has played it right IMHO!
From the NEWBIES sticky:
''Windscreen ticket? = STOP!!
Consider waiting for the postal 'Notice to Keeper' in MOST cases, unless it is a small PPC like 'S.I.P.' or 'P4Parking' who faff about sending TNC debt collector letters and don't even send a NTK. So, latest advice from me is to avoid the debt collector rubbish and appeal to a little non-POFA2012 ticketer like 'S.I.P.' or 'P4Parking' straight away but as the KEEPER, not driver! Start a new thread if unsure about 'your' PPC - we can tell you if they are small fry or you can search the forum for their name and read about other people's recent experiences of appealing their tickets first. ''
To the OP, I see you emailed again which is fine. The fact is you simply want a POPLA code and replying to the windscreen ticket does NOT indicate who was driving if you used a template keepers appeal.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It seems that he's gone to some lengths to hide who he is, but it's pretty obvious all the same:

From the KADOE contract declaration of good standing:
1. I declare that neither I nor any of the other Related Persons (the
Customer, its directors, the Commercial Manager, the Data Manager
and the Key Staff):
....
(b) has been convicted of any criminal offence relating to the conduct of his business or profession;
Racially aggravated assault in the course of his former clamping business? How does that not count?
If I were the OP I would be making the strongest possible complaint to DVLA, ICO and my MP about this man still having access to keeper details.Je suis Charlie.0
