Rachel needs to come up with a more professional looking signature if she wants to get a proper job. Why you'd almost think someone didn't want their name associated with that letter.
    Enjoy Lisa. You earned it.
  • ****Update regarding my case****

I had to contact the court again as I had not heard anything for nearly a month.
    They sent me this letter:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/da3tzx5ylf639ld/Court%20notice_struck_off.pdf?dl=0

As you can see from this letter, the cut off date for Parking Eye to pay my expenses was on the 2nd October, and no payment has been made so far.

I have just contacted the Legal team at Parking Eye and they said that they only received the letter from the court two days ago (which is probably correct as I only received it once I contacted the court), and they will send out the cheque today.

I then asked them if they were going to re-submit the claim, but they said no, this is the end of the matter.

So, all I can say, is a great big THANK YOU to everybody that helped me along the way and if anyone who is a regular on the site wants a copy of my defense, to pass on to future defendants, are more than welcome, as I will not be logging in very often.

    All the best, Mike

Mike, that's fantastic news - well done. I know you wanted your day in court but I hope sitting in on mine was sufficient.

Best wishes to you and your wife.

    Regards, Lisa

  • Hi Lisa......I was all fired up to have a go, but judging by what my Judge said at my hearing, it was not a foregone conclusion that I would win too, so maybe this was for the best.

I was really happy that I attended your hearing, so if/when I am in court again, I will know what to expect :).

    All the best,

    Mike

It used to be the case that 99% of the population would go through their entire lives without ever having any dealings with a court of law. THanks to the private parking "industry" the proportion of people who are being touched by the court system is increasing rapidly, even if it's simply to pay up in terror after receiving court-sponsored threatograms.
