Well done! So the DJ in your case found the same as other Judges about that sign:
'failure to comply with this will result in a parking charge'
Judge Melville-Shreeve at Bristol took exception to 'this' in the Collins-Daniel case, as did the judge in PE v Lemon and Harris at Southampton.

Not the same Judge as the Southampton case which I was wondering.
Congrats! Shocking that the Judge Mike got didn't take the same view but at least he gets to fight another day (unless PE give his one up as a bad job!).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

What a waste of everyone's time, and for a 22 minute overstay in a very busy seaside car park. Of course there is likely to be a queue for a place, of course you do not pay to queue for a place, you pay for a place.
It is time judges rapped PPCs over the knuckles for frivolous claims such as this, and it is time that appellants kicked up a fuss. Several judges have now found against PPCs on waiting times, is it not time they bit the bullet and ceased harassing parkers thusly. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Well it's judgement day for ParkingEye Ltd..... Literally!!! The costs I was awarded in court were due today. I wanted to ask the experts on the forum what action will I be allowed to take now? I'm going to call the court tomorrow to see if anything has arrived, so I wanted to be prepared. Also, how can I get a copy of the transcript?NEWBIES: visit the newbie sticky thread first, then create your own thread if your scenario isn't covered.

To get a transcript, you have to submit form EX107 and ask one of the MoJ authorised transcription companies for a quote. The amount will depend on the length of the hearing, but typically it costs £160-£200 for the whole hearing, or £50-£60 for just the approved Judgment.
I would also add, that unless you want the transcript for your own satisfaction, there is little or no point in having these now. PE have shedloads of transcripts of cases they've won; we have loads from cases they've lost. District Judges won't take much notice of either, they tend to rely on higher level decisions, which includes PE v Beavis (heard by a senior judge) and the two appealed cases of OPC v Thurlow and CEL v McCafferty, both found in favour of the motorist.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -

Excellent, thank you Bargepole. I will happily pay £100 for a bailiff enforcement :-) I am keen to get a copy of the transcript but can't really afford that.
Parking Prankster asked if I have a copy of the judgement. I received confirmation from the court yesterday that says the claim has been dismissed. Do you think that is what he wants? I'm also happy to send a scanned copy for the use of this forum if required. However, it'll have to be when I am back at work tomorrow.NEWBIES: visit the newbie sticky thread first, then create your own thread if your scenario isn't covered.

The Approved Judgment is the transcript of the final part of the hearing in which the Judge, having heard from both sides, sums up the case and gives his reasons for making the Judgment.
You won't have that unless you pay for it (but see my edited post above).

I'm a newbie so forgive me if this has been answered already,I have been trawling sites for 2 weeks now.
I have recieved a ccj in default from Northampton county court no other papers have been served and I had no knowledge of my alleged offence. However it turns out I recieved a parking eye parking notice on the 28/05/14.
I took legal advice if I paid within 30 days (£200) the ccj would be removed orI could set aside the judgment for a £155 claiming I was never served, but if I lost the set aside appeal the judgment would revert to its issue date 28/09/14 meaning the judgement would remain on my file for 6 years and if I paid it would still remain on my file but say satisfied.
I have sent many letters emails to parking eye but they have got the judgment in their favour by default and will not take appeal.i have paid the fine on my credit card under duress as I want to keep my credit file intact.
Has anyone paid and got their money back by taking on the landlord etc...any help or advice would be massive,
Thanks on advance0 -

What bod1467 means is start your own thread. One of the regulars will be along to help you. However, you'll need to learn about the process and how it relates to your scenario.
Good luck :-)NEWBIES: visit the newbie sticky thread first, then create your own thread if your scenario isn't covered.
