BBC in a post-independence Scotland.

Currently receiving BBC via FreeSat in Scotland.

Could this be disabled if Scotland were to lose BBC, or does the satellite transmit regardless of political boundaries?

No, can't be disabled just for Scotland

They could, but wont, scramble it
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

Probably just turn off the terrestrial transmitters, i.e Freeview, and close down any offices and studios, and flog them off to the SBC.

Still you'll doubtless still get the White Heather Club that used to bore us silly.

I wonder if they will stop giving out weather for Scotland too, like they do with Ireland...

Great opportunities in England for Scottish financial organisations to relocate to. Standard Life leading the way, I guess RBS/Lloyds won't be far behind
Time to start a cross border removals business.

I think this is a can of worms that the majority of people and businesses don't want. Time will tell I suppose but one things for sure, the knives are out from both the sides who are pro and anti. The BBC would of course remain, in one form or another.

Republic of Ireland still get BBC on FreeSat so unlikely that it'd be any different for Scotland. Likewise you can get it in a lot of areas in continental Europe but may need a bigger dish

There is nothing they can do to stop you getting BBC via satellite other than to stop broadcasting via freesat, which would then affect rUK
