My wife takes her mother to B&Q on a Wednesday and, because she's a pensioner she gets 10% off everything. (Merthyr Tydfil branch - Wednesdays only)
Thanks for reminding me Paul. Our local store in Cambridge also does the Wednesday discount. I suspect this is all over the country. Should apply to the clearance stuff too.icon14.gif

Posted previously about this, the sale is excellent! Just moved house and bought approx £1000 worth of lighting for under £200. Well worth it!! :)

There doesn't seem to be a lot left, and I've had to restrain myself from not buying things just because it's cheap! We've just moved into a new place, I got paint for nearly every room for just over £40... would've normally cost about £300! Loving B&Q at the mo! :j

loads being knocked down in coventry yesterday. I got a £40 lamp reduced to £4.83, lots being sold off for £1, reduced from £20.

Biggest bargain for us was 10 solar lamps for garden, £19.98

Thanks for this - we found the solar garden lamps in Eastleigh store - stacks of them by the tills - stainless steel and no wiring required - bargain.
Also picked up a set of mini halogen downlights suitable for the bathroom from £27 to £4!

My girlfriend works at B&Q and says it's the final reductions now for lighting so it isnt going to last long. She got a nice lampshade for 80p yesterday reduced from £6

Most of the items in the clearance are now down to £1 - £3. Get them whilst you can as I've seen people with trolley full of lights.
