B anQ 80% off lighting

Loads of reduced lighting at my local. Some reduced from £70 to £5. It was cheaper to buy a set of halogen downlighters - 6 for a fiver than to buy replacement bulbs!
Also had a lot of paint half price.:j

If you have more than one store in your area then check each of them. The one closest to use had different things reduced than the next closest one!

B&Q Peterborough have tubs of individual bulbs - loads of them - all at 10p each.

Worth thinking about whether cheap lighting is a false economy. Energy saving lightbulbs can save you £100 over the bulb's lifetime - and they last so much longer (not to mention being better for the environment).

In what way are they more environmentally friendly? You obviously know nothing about the manufacturing process and materials involved in making these things. They are never as bright as their 'equivalent' normal bulb, can't be used in dimmer switches and are not as reliable as advertised (the tube itself is fine, but the electronics controlling them are susceptible). Their operating temperatures are limited as well. Oh, and they don't fit in most uplighter light shades!
