Once the season has started (Friday 14th March) whatever the makeup of your team (4 Drivers, 2 Constructors and 1 Engine supplier) at 16:59 (GMT/BST as applicable) on the Friday* before each F1 GP race weekend, will accrue points as to their performance in the 3 qualifying sessions on the Saturday and the actual race on the Sunday.

Your only "input" to the game is IF you choose to change part of your team in any of the 18 periods, one of which leads up to each of the 16:59 Friday* cutoffs before every subsequent GP, each of them beginning at 00:01am on the preceding MONDAY.

* This is THURSDAY for the MONACO GP (22nd May)

In these 18 TRANSFER WINDOWS you can make up to 3 (THREE) changes to whatever configuration of your 7 components (4 Drivers, 2 Constructors & Engine supplier) that you have at that time.

For instance you may start out with FERRARI as your Engine supplier.
After a couple of races you might decide that since Ferrari engines keep blowing up and they never finish a Grand Prix, you'd like to swap your Engine supplier to Renault which is more reliable. Later in the season Ferrari may get their act together making their engine a better option then Renault, so you swap it back again


The only other decision to make is which of the 19 Grand Prix to choose as the BONUS CIRCUIT where you team will score DOUBLE POINTS

Thanks for this, just entered and looking forward to the season with some added redspottedhanky credit.

Wasn't aware of this competition last year, or indeed this year until seeing this thread. In that vein, just incase anyone reading is interested in Hilton honors points, they have a similar F1 competition (based on the same software it would seem) at http://fantasyracing.hiltonhhonors.com/

Again easy to enter, but the prizes aren't as generous unless you do very well in a GP (or over the season).
