    Good Day one and all....

Great to see the chitter chatter on here today! Thank you for all the kind words or encouragement and "Whooping"..(MrsGSR:p).. and I must say I am really looking forward to the course. It's a 0900-1700 day so it's packed. I have online stuff to do for it before I attend so I want to get on top of that asap....

Not sure I would be any good in politics. I am far too honest...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:... however I am not sure where I would start. Credit will always be offered, loans, CC and such like will always be around. I think education is the issue! Travellor you are right. When youngsters are offered CC they are never educated about what happens if you don't pay back, % APR and most don't care.

Maybe I could stand on the street corners near the worst offending bank / building society with a placard screaming "The end of good credit is nigh" at the top of my voice....

A nationwide education programme for the understanding of money-managment and debt avoidance is needed. Compulsory for all job seekers and young adults. Wonder where that financial education programme is that :money::money::money:was pushing.... Hmmmm I smell some serious research needed....

And on another note. I still need a new laptop. I work between two, one large one that shuts down as soon as I unplug it to move it from upstairs to downstairs.. and a net book who's screen is too small and is to heavy in general....

Right... gonna do me some quoting and replying - sorry for the lenght that will follow but it's better this way as one long post makes it hard to read...

I know what you mean! I am very much enjoying the simpler life - but then they do have a cleaner who also does all the washing and ironing, so I guess that's not a problem for her either!!

But, I am happy that my smart price soap works fine and that DH happily accepts me without make up and expensive toiletries and in my cheap scruffy joggers all the time I am at home! :rotfl:

Your friends house sounds amazing. But I would honestly cringe at a mortgage that high! Imagine what you could do with that money. Albeit I get the feelin they are paying for the location which adds a lot in London but it would make me really uncomfortable knowing I paid that much for bricks and mortar.

I would be happy like you in my scruffy joggers and no make-up ( no complaints from Mr Archer so far) and soap beacuse I am getting to tight to buy shower gel! :rotfl:

We used to enjoy cooking together and have kept it up - we meet up about every 6 weeks or so, stick a CD on, and spend a few hours chopping, peeling, lots of gossiping, bad singing and cooking bigger batches of things than we would manage alone - typically this nets about 60 portions. Staple recipes are soup, bolognase sauce, lasagne, daal, sweet n sour veg, cottage pies, casseroles, mashed spuds and fried onions, apple crumbles. We freeze it in dishes or takeaway containers. W

This is AMAZING!!! The one thing I would like in my house when I grow up is a chest freezer. Very expensive as we had one in our house back in NI which was eventually switched off.... however a woman (who is a millionaire) on Extreme Cheapskates switches hers off via a timer at night for 12 hours. genius.

You must have so much fun doing these and there are two of you to share the washing up as well. Hmmmmmmmmmmm apple pie!!! I think I need to have a day of this soon. My staples are running out and I haven't hit the shops yet this month...

    Well impressed with you!! :T

Anyhoo, have got an avon SL coming round tmrw to sign me up, figure any money I can make, no matter how small, it all adds up and therefore is worth it.

Oooooh you need to keep us posted on how this goes! Your organisation skills will come in handy for getting out as many orders as possible (minus the library book mishap) and rake in some good money in the four days you have no DD...... tell us what you have to do to sign up etc... I am intruged. Are you going to dress 1950's everytime you deliver an order in a red jacket..??

It's lovely reading the new thread but I shan't join this month - I am away for two weeks of March so nothing will be normal. I will still keep a close eye on everything and will join back in for April.

I am gonna hunt you down in April.... :p

......... I don't feel I did much but at least I was handy with the hankie and sympathy.

Sometimes this means more to someone than doing something for them physically!

Very slow tortie here. Confession time this is my first post on this challenge.

Didn't have the best start to the month, more if that is possible upsetting news, so bawled my head off Saturday night. Also managed to spend a fiver on cream tea in the day with daughter. Plus food delivery sainsbobs

Sunday back on track, had first SFD will aim for 20 and yesterday was one too, today looking good as well so far.

Food budget staying at 100 but trying to include dog /bunny food in with this usually about 20 pounds.

Paid off 43.69 off my credit cards today.

Put in a claim for WHA for my glasses just bought so fingers crossed I get 99 pounds back which will be go twds cc.

Charity bag filling going well, all my old Guess handbags decided bit chavy. May try and sell a newish one on ebay. Will top up another bag tonight with clothes.

My freezer is full, so should last most month, just a five week month yikes.

Horrified by the Foodbank programme last night and the Witch that is Edwina Curry, if you haven't got any food in at all, you would be grateful for some noodles even. She obviously has never had to struggle in her life.

Need a going out budget estimated 50 so far. Got a few bdays as well groan. Going to be a tough month.
