Tesco yet again

Well,
There has been a fair bit about Tesco on here recently I must confess I got caught too much up with it.
However, we are house sitting (and cat sitting for our neighbours) who have been holiday for a week - due home very late tonight - early hours tomorrow morning. About 10 minutes ago Tesco home delivery turned up and I could see them going down next door path so went out. Guy said he had a delivery for them - I said, no, don't think so as still on holiday. Guy said, well will just off load anyway. I said, no, this is not an option. Can you please phone someone to ascertain if there has been a mistake. He said no, I said, yes, please you must as the people here are away on holiday.
Anyway, he was slightly rude to me, made a few (probabably sweary words under breath) and got on his mobile. Delivery is due tomorrow night between 8.00-9.00 pm!!! He said no guarantee they will get their delivery tomorrow night when they think it is booked. He repacked his van, no apology to me and drove off - I think exceeding speed limit in a 20 only plus no seat belt.
I am not going to complain as I am not the consumer but I do think when I speak to my neighbours tomorrow once they are home and have recovered from journey they are going to have to phone and sort this one out. They are obviously expecting a big food delivery post holiday and there is no guarantee it is going to arrive.
Today, fortunately I agreed to buying fresh milk for fridge and a loaf of bread for immediate consumption for when they get home.

Having told this oaf that your neighbours are away, I hope you are continuing to keep an eye on their property0

Off course I am. I go in twice daily for the cat, lift any mail or other stuff off from under front door, tilt blinds and put a light on here and there just about now for an hour or two! And then go back to draw curtains and put lights out. If they were not coming back late tonight I would be back in there tomorrow to open curtains again. I think I am a good neighbour security wise!

I am starting to think you are my friend after all we have been through!
Is this not taking it a bit too far - housebreaking????
Let's not fall out on this one, please. I do think my thread is totally legitimate!

According to the guy tonight - he said yes. I do not get Tesco to deliver so I have no idea. I just posted what he told me post phone call by him. Maybe neighbour has asked for early morning delivery 8.00-9.00 tomorrow - I don't know. Unfortunately it is my neighbours who have to unravel this one. It could even be that they have given wrong date - I don't know. There just seems to have been a big c@@k up somewhere. The point was, I think, if I hadn't been in perhaps a load of groceries left on doorstep when neighbours away!
Maybe unfair to Tesco but the delivery guy conceded timing was wrong - maybe (despite the swearing and attitude to me!).

lol, who knows how desperate they may get to deliver the goods...;)
and then again they ARE guilty of a few motoring offences.0 -
Please guys
Don't let us get into a slanging match again. I just let you know what happened. Constructive comments are fine but please don't get too personal. It is not worth it and it is going to stop people posting what they feel!
I almost feel there is a vendetta going on here. TRUCE!

tescos only deliver on sundays from 10 am to 3 pm
maybe your neighbour clicked the wrong day when she ordered as if she clicked for it to be delivered tomorrow then the pickers would not even get the printout for her order till tomorrow mornng at about 6am, so i cannot understand how her shopping was picked without a order
also i noticed the comment you made about him not wearing his seatbelt, if his drop was under 100 yards away then he would not have to wear it, or as it is a multidrop vehicle he would not have to wear it at all (that is depending on the policeman you speak to)
also you saying he was probably swearing under his breath, you should not judge everybody with your own standards0
