In that case the householder was in, but just too idle to answer the door.

In this case the house sitter does not seem to be sure if the groceries were wanted or not.

In both cases evil Tescos are not at any fault.

just in case evil Dave:rolleyes:manages to confuse anyone - in the first case the OP knew she would not be answering the door ata certain time, so arranged for delivery around that, in this case granny was trying to stop the driver from a dump and run.

If my neighbours know there is any delivery due, they always come to ask if we are around to take in or sign for. Of course there is the always unexpected stuff if RM requires a signature. Mostly any courier stuff they order they arrange for delivery on a day they are there - I knew were away overnight on a holiday break.

I have spoken to my neighbours since this incident and the fault definitely lies with Tesco and they are currently sorting it out with the with company. I am not going to complain about driver attitude - it was not my delivery and I have enough to deal with just now and I don't think I should be petty - just annoying at the time when he obviously wanted me to take in groceries when they weren't here.

Can I just say that I have had several really nice pms on the subject but the two or three rather stupid ones were totally out of order. If this happens again they will be forwarded to one of the moderators because it is totally not helpful to MSE and what Martin stands for in general for you to be so vitriolic. If this happened at work I could instigate all sorts of bullying and harassment policies. To criticise me for one spelling and a gramatic error was so so stupid - you know who you are!!! To say I should try doing delivery for Tesco - well so stupid! I always try to give respect where respect is due. To say my grandchildren have a numpty grandmother - well will not go down that road. Please don't waste your time being such sad people and leaving me in tears about such horrid, horrid comments

    Hope everyone else well.

Thanks for your support on this one - much appreciated! I am away now to bathe the red eyes and hopefully continue to be a good Granny!

What Dave said in previous Tesco threads was then. No need to bring in here as this was a totally different thing. Dave knows what I thought about him and I think he knows what I think about him this thread. History not a good thing. Drop it! Actually drop it all now as I am so stressed out now and so distraught with the pms I feel I can't now post a valid comment for fear or being totally crucified.

    Right

I have had enough. I am not going to post who the pm person is but this is totally unacceptable. Post publicly not privately if you are so vitriolic so others can see who you are. Contact me again and you are being reported. And no, no-one who has been on this thread. I think it is someone new!

    This is the message -

grannybroon - you really do seem to take posts too personally! If someone disagrees with what you did and you don't like it, ignore it! More than 2/3 of this thread have been arguing who was right and wrong for disagreeing with you and ascertaining who exactly called who, what!

Just make a post, take the advice you asked for and ignore the crap. You could make a start by ignoring this if you wish (although I am trying to be helpful!)

Too many people on these boards feel it's their mission to irritate people and the same people would never even think about saying these things to the peoples' faces - this is why you should ignore them!
