I am pretty sure he did swear but because i wasn't 100% didn't make it public. I have been in touch with you.
I really can't believe what I have posted tonight has brooked such comment. OK maybe Tesco were at fault, but there again my neighbours were maybe at fault - tomorrow will tell. However, following the phone call by the driver while here I was told there was a slip up with the delivery time - I don't know if it should be tomorrow morning or tomorrow night - I do not do on line delivery. The Tesco guy would have left the stuff on the doorstep if I had not been here - OK - end of! Up to neighbours to deal with it not me. Don't bother with anything else on this one as it now is so stupid.

Tescos man didn't do a fat lot wrong, you didn't do much wrong, and I'm sure you're a good granny (even if you did call me rude names).
Forget about the whole thing. The money, Dave...0 -

Thanks Dave
Until neighbours get home late tonight/tomorrow I won't know the full story but ..............
I am a good granny, I didn't do anything wrong and I am a very good neighbour feeding cats, walking dogs etc. I just couldn't believe what happened here today. There was an obvious problem re my neighbours and Tesco. If I had not been here a huge shop left on door step. Tesco man was rude to me (re pm), he phoned and reported a c@@k up at their end and I am not sure about seat belt law so will go with that one but there were young children about!

A little while ago there was a post about tesco leaving their delivery at a house earlier than booked. Good old Dave Brooker  could not understand why it was perhaps not okay to leave a load of groceries on a doorstep when it appeared no-one was in.
This appears to be another of the same - driver happy to dump and drive away, regardless of whether someone was in. As far as the driver was concerned there may have been a problem with the time, or there may have been a problem with the address. Either way a load of shopping would have been just left. I cannot think of anything good of a load of shopping being left in front of a (presumably empty) house. I don't know whether the delivery contained frozen or chilled stuff, which would not have been good, but even just a few bags of tins left outside a door would be a great advert that there was no-one in the house.
This is another reason why I get my home deliveries from helpful, consistent, sensible Sainsbury's.

Im inclined to agree with the OP and that they did the best thing
are the neighbours the kind who would have informed you of an impending delivery from tesco,No Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20 -

Are you so naive that you can't see he was trying (successfully) to wind people up. As for your shouting whether you like it or not other posters can comment as long as it does not break the forum rules. If it does then the post should be reported it is not up to you to tell other posters what to do. You may try but all you will do is give them a laugh by playing into their hands. I think GB did the right thing although personally if he had been rude I would have reported him even though the order was not for me. Alternatively could have dumped the guy in his refrigerated compartment until the neighbours came back..... at least he wouldn't starve..... now are these airtight?A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.
