As far as I can tell it's £200 to list a property on a website and get a £5 plastic board advertising Tesco.
I look forward to the detail.

Most people just want to advertise their houses on rightmove. Perhaps Tesco will provide some competition on the Internet.

In my experience, most EAs do very little to earn their fat salaries.

    Do you get clubcard points?

    :)

read about this too in the sun, apparently asda are already operating a house selling service (first i heard about it to) but I think it will do the EA's good o have a bit of real competition.

Not sure about doing them (EAs) good. I expect this to wipe them off the high street - just like petrol stations and far too many greengrocers etc.

Not a bad thing this time though.

One possible downside of Tesco making the housing market quite transparent is a decline in prices as the EA can't mediate the process. The quicker and cheaper it becomes to trade and check alternative houses and prices on the Tesco web-site, then prices will find their 'true' level to match supply with demand.
  • Bet asda join in & do a "Driving prices down" deal, like with the groceries they advertise.

    OT!

What's the difference between an EA and a halibut?

One's wet & slimy & the other one is a fish!

    Go TESCO!

BTW, will there be anything you cannot get clubcard points on soon?
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

"decline in Prices", so that's an upside not a downside then?

frankly i think one of the big banks or financial institutes should be doing this, not only do they have the branch infrastucture but also the trust to be professional do it right.

slightly ot but as a ftb i have never encountered anything like the it dealing with EA's, burgerking try and sell you a 30p upgrade harder than these guys work.

prime example, i called up last week about a house to view it, the shedual haddent been done ant they took my number expecting to call me back. now on friday i had to call 7 times eventually after getting stroppy get put through to the person that deals with it and get told first viewing was on thursday and next one woulnt be for 2 weeks grr. i mean i am a buyers dream, FTB with a big deposit, pre approved mortgage and no probs going as fast or slow as the buyer wants and yet i cant even get in the door.
