All you can eat data.
From March 2014 the one plan all you can eat data tethering is capped at 2GB per month for all new customers or anyone accepting a upgrade contract.
3 are also pushing huge free upgrade offer mid contract to try and tempt existing customers in to a new contract.
To beat the game, do not upgrade, allow the contract to roll on.
Rumours are new customers are been stalled until March yet not informed of this data cap.

Possibly one of the worst kept secrets however this will affect new customers/sign ups, and the cap Applies to tethering only 2GB cap on tethering. Normal phone data use is un affected0

glad I upgraded a month or so back when the one plan was 15 quid.
will probably keep it rolling forever, considering such an offer will unlikely to come around again.
done with long contracts to get a shiny new phone .
it also looks like three will be introducing charges f9or 4g data at some point going on the new contract details I got0 -
Indeed all rather sneaky, they are said to be cold calling with early upgrade offers to get people off the all you can eat tethering plan .
I think those that ignore will see choked data rates.
Was only a matter of time before 3 threw the business they had away to the competitors.
They will be like seagulls behind the boat awaiting the 3 customers who contracts expire.
As someone say "worst kept secret"
But why a secret at all ?Be happy...;)0 -

PAYG customers didn't have tethering in the first place.0 -
Not really any suprise though, too many poeple extracting the michael.
Other network have offered unlimited voice/text/data, and all of them have then had to restrict it as people abused it. GiffGaff removed unlimited voice when people were using it for 200+ hours a month, GG also restricted data on heavy users when 1% of it's userbase were using 33% of its data use.0 -
How can you "abuse it" they sell you a contract for totally unlimited data, the only limit they boast is what you can use.
How is using what they sell an abuse.
A bit like saying you abuse the supermarket if you eat the full box of corn flakes.Be happy...;)0 -

I get what you mean, after all its unlimited right,
A better example would be saying going into the supermarket and eating everything , regardless of if anyone else wanted anything, and how it affects others.
If it affects others its no longer for fair use, and usually someone taking the hiss,0 -
In some respects I'm relieved, the network can get really congested at times. On the other hand, I'm one of the people who has done away with home internet and just uses my phone to tether to my laptop, and I can see my speeds getting choked and me being bombarded with offers from them to upgrade which I don't want.0
