• Hi Dedicated! :D
And that locks are hopefully getting sorted out :)
I had to send a not-so-nice email. My next door neighbour has also had some issues but is afraid to say anything in case he gets evicted. That got me a little worried, but I'm a good tenant who has always paid her rent on time etc. so the chances must be slim. It just seems that if you don't stand up for yourself, you don't get. As it is, someone is coming round tomorrow to sort it out, so it clearly worked. :D

Ed speaks some wise words - i was going to suggest the same thing photo and write up 5 items in word then you are ready to list on FLW ;) 5 is a good amount to aim for - not too many that you can't be bothered as its overwhelming and not too few that it hardly seems worth it ;) I often find i'll carry on past 5 anyway if i've set that as the target but if not then there's still that sense of achievement :T

It seems to be the way to go. I wasn't as productive as I could have been yesterday as some of what I wanted to list were clothes, but they were really crumpled so I need to iron them etc.

I have duly subscribed mon ami :) you can always join us on jwils thread for a bay of e challenge if you want - TC is there and jwil and i think next month they are aiming for 100 listings  i need to decide my target as i can't imagine the kitchen will yield much bayable x

Hi peeps,

OK, so kick my bee-hind, please...to do list as of yesterday end of play:
1. [STRIKE]Email landlord about locks[/STRIKE]
2. [STRIKE]Ring Person1 and Person2 r.e. where to look for jobs.[/STRIKE] (Left messge yesterday PM & they just replied)
3. [STRIKE]Text Person3 r.e. her contact for getting a job.[/STRIKE]
4. Apply for 2 jobs
5. Make loaf of bread
6. Bake blueberry muffins
7. Make orange drizzle cake/muffins
8. List 5 Ebay etc. items 1/5 (1 listed, 1 held)
9. [STRIKE]Watch film and send back to DVD company.[/STRIKE]
So 2/9 not done (including the VIMP one, jobs) and 1 half done.
Well, it's a start. Not the most flying of starts but it's a start.

It's quite late now and I have so far:
1. Got up REALLY late after waking up early waiting for the alarm clock to go off, worried it was much later than anticipated, then fell into a snooze again when it finally went off (BAD PB!!!)
2. [STRIKE]Washed hair.[/STRIKE]
3. [STRIKE]Done the washing up.[/STRIKE]
4. [STRIKE]Spoken to Person1 about where to find a job.[/STRIKE]
For the rest of the day I need to:
1. Edit CV for the type of job I am now aiming for.
2. Send it to all the contacts suggested by kind people
3. Speak to job agent (t'tother one)
4. Buy garlic
5. Clean en-suite
6. Make soup
7. Make something with aubergine (awaiting recipe)
8. Ring DVD provider to see why 2nd DVD not sent out
9. Watch DVD that arrived (treat if I get the rest done :D)
Realistically I don't think the aubergine things is going to happen, nor baking with oranges. I'll try to do one cook-y thing a day, so oranges are for tomorrow....and when I find my lemon drizzle cake recipe to use it in!

I think I might start with the soup as it's a slow cooker job.

Wish me luck...my first ever batch of minestrone coming up!

I made a spreadsheet of all the stuff I have a little while ago. Basically it showed that I had loads and loads and loads of sausages (no sniggering at the back there)! I've been using them up as I go. I don't have lots of excess of anything else. Well, there's a bit of butter, but not too much. I'll just keep plugging away...

• OK, so here is what I have done today
1. Edit CV for the type of job I am now aiming for.
2. Send it to all the contacts suggested by kind people
3. Speak to job agent (t'tother one)

5. Clean en-suite

9. [STRIKE]Watch DVD that arrived (treat if I get the rest done :D)[/STRIKE]
I also did something else I forgot to list:

10. [STRIKE]List 5 Ebay items[/STRIKE]

This is not good enough. I have done well on cooking so I don't waste food and making a start on listing items on Ebay etc. but that's not getting me a job. I swore I wouldn't go to bed until I got my CV sorted, so I'm going to do that now.

Ironically, I have been streaming 'The Hoarder Next Door' on C4 in the background while Ebay listing. Call it motivation. :rotfl:

• CV done! :T

It didn't take long at all, which means that I'm a proper dipstick for not doing it earlier. *Slaps own wrist* I'll check it again tomorrow against the job description I have for a similar job to the one I want that I already applied for, to check I've ticked all the boxes.

Right, off to Bedfordshire it is. With a hoarder on a laptop...

Things still to be done:
1. Check CV against existing job description for any defects.
2. Send CV to agencies for type of job specifically desired
3. Sort out about lesson
4. Follow up rest of employment leads
5. Do washing up

7. Prepare for tomorrow's JSA interview
8. 1 x load of washing inc. black trousers

11. Defrost meat for dinner

OK, so that's probably more than enough for today although l've already been up for over 2 hours and am doing stuff, although some tea/coffee/other caffeinated beverage would go down *really* well about now cos I was tardy at shuffling off top my pit (bad habit - tell me off about it, please!)

See you later!

Hi tattycath,

It was quite a list. I didn't get it all done, especially since it took my hairdresser 3 hours to cut my hair, then travel time there and back.

Here's how it went:
1. Check CV against existing job description for any defects. [Sort of - I re-read it and it had everything I think I need.]
2. Send CV to agencies for type of job specifically desired [2/3 suggested by 1 of the people but think it's for different types of jobs by the website]
3. [STRIKE]Sort out about lesson[/STRIKE]
4. Follow up rest of employment leads.
5. [STRIKE]Do washing up[/STRIKE]
6. Shopping list for parental arrival [partially done]
7. [STRIKE]Prepare for tomorrow's JSA interview[/STRIKE]
8. [STRIKE]1 x load of washing inc. black trousers[/STRIKE]
9. [STRIKE]Iron jeans[/STRIKE]
10. [STRIKE]Get to haircut[/STRIKE]
11. [STRIKE]Defrost meat for dinner[/STRIKE]
12. Clean en-suite
13. Clean bathroom
14. Fill new Ebay box
15. List 5 Ebay items
I've got to be up at the crack of dawn (look at the time!) for an appointment, then go shopping (still with no car - I had to pay £4 for a bus ticket today! ) and then get cleaning and decluttering like it's 1999.

Wish me luck!

Oh, spendies today:

£8.00 hair cut
£1.00 tip
£4.00 bus ticket
£1.89 frozen chippies
£7.92 vino for the big weekendo! (hopefully I won't need to buy that again! :rotfl:)
Total: £22.81 ( - that makes up for the 3 NSDs I've just had)
Debt: £11,640.02 paid in full! DFD: 30/06/20
