peaceandfreedom wrote: »Another flying visit as I am more knackered than a very very knackered thing.
The good:- Made over 80 quid at the car boot, even though there didn't seem to be as many people there as I would have expected.
- Sold the trampoline - it has been dismantled, paid for and ready for collection. :j
- Shifted a load of kids' clothes to a friend.
- Lots of courgettes are ready to harvest.
- Tomatoes are definitely turning red.
- Just. So. Knackered.

Still knackered as I haven't been sleeping too well. However, I am off to bed shortly with nice fresh sheets sweet-smelling from drying in the sun.
The good:- Tiny bit of interest from my Cash ISA. Was puzzled as to how to enter this in YNAB until I realised it must be 'Income for July' - never really thought of it like that before and I like it.
- Have now got red and orange tomatoes ripening nicely.
- The lettuce in my bottle garden and in my large planter is doing beautifully - this came from a 69p 'living salad' thing from Lidl that I split up and planted out - excellent way to grow lettuce I must say.
- Lots of Autumn Bliss raspberries fruiting now.
- Made a start on sorting out the remaining clothes.
- The money I lodged on Friday isn't showing in my account yet - and can't message First Direct about it because I can't find that blasted security access card thingy.
- The baby cucumbers keep growing for a little bit then turning yellow and withering. This has never happened before and I've no idea what the problem is.
- OH smashed a vase yesterday while he was setting up the ironing board. He swore and wondered 'what the f*ck it was doing there'. Funny that the vase has been in that place for several weeks during which time I used the iron/ironing board numerous times without smashing the vase.

Well, I'm STILL completely exhausted because I just can't seem to get to sleep properly any more. I really need to do a proper update of progress in July but here's the usual brief summary.
The good:- Brought in breakfast and lunch to work
- Resisted the large double-tiered cream cake left in the kitchen at work
- In on time for free parking
- My lodged money has finally shown up on my account
- Got some great work done today for a very appreciative colleague
- Had my first greenhouse tomato - a sungold one
- Harvested my first cucumber
- Have finally lost one pound in weight :j
- Spend over 9 quid in Mr M's after work
- Put my head down for a quick snooze on the couch this evening and woke up 2 hours later.

Check out why you are so tired? For example, have you looked at your iron levels?

Hi all, sorry I went AWOL for a few days - it's been busy.
I have been meaning to post for the past few days but just didn't get around to it in the end. Had a busy weekend - day out at an air show on Saturday and then worked in the garden all day Sunday.
Today I went shopping with younger DD and spent a large sum of money on her birthday present. Still, it's something she really needs for her school work and it was in the budget, so I'm not really complaining.
A round-up of the past few days:
The good:- Pay day today and money already allocated to the various budget 'pots'. :j
- Discovered I had over a tenner sitting on a Starbucks card - wayhay.
- Got a job done in the garden that has been on my to-do list all summer so far - took most of Sunday but it looks so much better now.
- Loads of free delicious raspberries from next door.
- Trampoline collected and (I hope) being enjoyed by its excited recipients.
- Courgettes cropping like crazy. Tomatoes cropping steadily and yummily.
- Somewhat over-budget on the birthday spending.
- Because of all kinds of commitments this month and last month, YNAB tells me I am very seriously over-budget. Have to raise a large sum of money over the next two months.

Thanks, Brizzle. Not sure if it's just the heat and not going to bed early enough. My iron levels have always been pretty good, will keep an eye on things.0 -
Great to 'see' you hon. Brilliant to hear about the garden produce and the good stuff...am sure you will find a way to ramp up the income...EBay? Sell the kids?MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Kids are kind of old now to be honest, otherwise I might consider it. Frankly, at this stage, no-one would have them. :rotfl:
Truth be told, it's the kids that are costing me all the money. They all work either part or full-time and are self-sufficient to a large extent but there has been a rash of birthdays and other treats.
And I'm too generous even though YNAB wags its finger at me.0 -
