Well, having said yesterday that it would take me months to move my DFD one month closer - it has happened in one day. :j:j:j

Today I got not only the small payrise that the whole company gets but my job got re-graded and my salary has gone up by a noticeable amount. Which is backdated by quite a few months. :D

I do need that backdated money for some expensive outgoings that are coming up but I will also be able to throw a small bit at the debt. I am also increasing my regular credit card payment by £50 per month based on my estimated new income - both these measures bring my DFD forward to August 2016.

I am not updating my sig until I've got the money in my hot little hands but it's definitely good news and a step in the right direction. :)

That's brilliant news peaceand freedom :T I am so happy for you. :j
    It all helps. :)

  • Thanks guys, it is indeed nice as it was not expected. I plan to move jobs anyway after the summer because they are still not paying me anything like they should be but I will potter along for now. :)

This weekend it's rainy outside so I am going to do some indoor stuff. Lots of housework as the place is a bit of a tip. I will also do some listing on ebay and get a little bit of freelance work done.

I am spending too much time messing about online lately so I need to curb that. I will have to impost a NO LAPTOP rule for a while (though I need it for work).

Be back later, have a nice day. :)
  • Good morning anyone who's reading and Happy Sunday.

It's grey and miserable here today. Put on the heating for a couple of hours last night as I was freezing but the greenhouse thermometer tells me that the temperature didn't drop below 11.4 overnight. Clearly warmer outside than in then.

I had my breakfast earlier and am about to put on brunch for the children, one of whom is at work since 7am, the other two haven't put in an appearance yet. I am doing them bacon, sausage and egg so I might nick a naughty sausage for myself. :D I am pleased to say that my weight is going down again slowly - I aim to be below 8 stone 7 for the summer and I think I can get there.

I have a range of seeds just starting to germinate in their propagators and plan to sow some more today which will stay out in the greenhouse. Otherwise, I plan to do lots of indoor-stuff today, while watching some drivel on TV probably. :)
  • Meant to add that the hairdresser gave me a £10 discount yesterday so I have already sent that tenner off to my credit card. I'm getting good at this debt-paying lark. :D
  • Great news on the pay rise !!:j

  • Well, in the end I had one of those days where I was feeling pretty low. Hard to pin down why exactly, just felt really stressy and down-hearted. :(

I did get quite a few jobs done though, so it's not all bad, but all in all I'm glad today is over.

I think it's that sometimes I see my future stretching before me and I've really no idea what it's going to look like. In one way, that might be a good thing but on the other hand, it's a bit scary and a bit lonely.

Oh well, I get like this sometimes annd I never quite know what to do with myself, I'm sure I'll be fine tomorrow. :o

Wow, that is fab news about the pay rise :T :j :T :j

Very disciplined about sending the extra £10 over as well.

Sorry you were having a little downer yesterday, I hope you are feeling a bit better today. Shout if you want to vent at all.

Thanks for the hugs, TC. I'm in my late 40s and I've never had any direction either. :o

I think it's fair to say that I am not happy about anything very much in my life. There are some things I can sort out myself, with a big of hard work and ingenuity (given the lack of cash). Other things - well, I don't know what to do about them. :(

Still, I've had a day off today, and I spent a fair bit of it doing some freelance work, so that notches up a bit more cash for next month. And I am definitely going to do some more ebay listing - am going to adopt Jwil's postage approach. :)

And LOADS of new seeds are coming up now - it's very exciting to see. :T
