    Fairclaire's post was a level headed word of caution and I think it is worth re-iterating from time to time :beer:

    If someone wants to do 10 shops for 2 glitch items at a time or 2 shops with 10 glitch items at a time then that is up to the individual. There is nothing wrong (in my opinion) with people being made aware of all the facts and being more informed as to the potential consequences of hammering a glitch. :cool:

    Very much so, and indeed some of the people who've choose to reply with negativity. * Pot kettle*
    I don't judge anyone's shopping weather your splitting it over a hundred little shops or doing larger shops your still abusing the system some people can't help themselves but be judgemental.
    Yes doing large apg's isent wise , i know that.
    Ignore reality.There's nothing you can do about it.
    I have done reading too!

    Personally I would call the police out to check them out whether they are bona fide or not - especially if as you say the area has lots of elderly people living there

    I agree. It would be a good idea FC
    Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

    Vigilant.....you haven't met my OH. He has chronic PTSD with hyper vigilance. it's just not possible to be any more vigilant :o I'm not making fun of his condition, I just have to try and be light hearted about it......it's the only way I stay sane.

    It's a really good point though and a warning for us all to heed. thank you :A

    You can manage to stay sane around here?? :D

    I suppose you just have to look for the silver linings in situations like with your DH!

    I'd definitely consider ringing the charity and seeing what they say. If it's genuine then getting grief from management should help to prevent the teenagers from going round all the vulnerable people in the area at night and demanding money. If they say they've never heard of it then I'd let the police know on 111 and they'll keep a lookout in the area and maybe join the dots if there is a break-in somewhere.

    Unbelievable!....I have just shut the door on a bunch of teenagers trying to sign people up to paying a donation by DD to a cancer charity :( 4 of them, very persistent, pitch black outside and completely ignoring no cold calling signs.
    What are these charities thinking of employing people to do this and at this time of night? :( I know they need all the donations they can get but surely there has to better ways.
    I have a lot of very elderly neighbours and can't imagine how frightened some of them must be greeted by a gang of very pushy people demanding their bank details late at night. scandalous! :mad: :(

    I never ever open my door at night if someone knocks :)

    I know they are only cold calling and don't wish to talk to them.

    To hammer or not to hammer that is the question:
    Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
    The looks and glances of outrageous trouts,
    Or to take arms against a sea of delivery vans,
    And by opposing end them. To shop: to buy;
    No more; and by a shop to say we end
    The glitch, and the thousand natural shocks
    That flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation
    Devoutly to be wish'd. To shop, to buy;
    To glitch: perchance to dream: aye, there's the rub;

    :D:D

  • I think one thing is certain and that's that there are probably loads of lurkers here/on the various FB groups/elsewhere who hammer the hell out of the APG system. There's nothing that can be done about that, we all have to just get on and do what we personally think is right.

    One day the APG system will all come to an end. It may well be scrapped in it's entirety, it may be changed, but it probably won't be down to any one individual or even group, it will simply be down to A changing their policies, moving with the times and keeping up with new ideas and the competition.

    Until then Happy Glitching in whatever form it takes :)

    Your post was directly aimed at me though , I posted you posted couple of posts later £50. Apg's now at least cot quoted my post before saying talking the !!!! ..
    I never saw one !!!!!y post when people had £40 plus apg's when the Ariel glitch!! Or on previous glitches.
    Do you really think multiple shops in store using apg's multiple times a day (breaking the 10 apg rule)buying exactly the same items go unnoticed.

    My apg certainly wasent ment to be that big :p
    I'm not gonna say I shop for one or 2items as I don't I pay £5 delivery before I even start adding shopping if I wanted one or two items it's cheaper to buy them In store..
    Hi DeeDee.

    Personally, I think that you have done an amazing job posting on the elite thread recently. As I have said on previous posts, you know exactly what you are doing and seem to have the time and the spare cash to try out your theories. You can spend time instore on the right days to find your glitches and I only wish I had that luxury.

    I am sure that FC means well and her opinion that online apgs should be kept at a respectable level is well thought out and I do agree with her sentiment. I really do not think her post was aimed at you, just at the concept of getting single £50 apgs when the current limit is only £100 pcm.

    Unfortunately, you posted a whopper which opened up a can of worms. I am 1000% sure all you were trying to do was help everyone else, but unfortunately some may have taken your post the wrong way.

    Me?.. I was extremely happy that you posted yet another cracker!! If I had a cc option, I would have got a few as it wouldn't have cost for HD so I wouldn't have had to hammer it to offset the delivery cost. If you look at TM's post, she did exactly that and got a few. We are all adults on here and can choose to do exactly what we want to do.

    You did not tell everyone that they should hammer it, you just posted that a certain comparison was available and allowed us as adults to make up our own minds.

    I am sure that FC and CoT are not having a pop at you and the amazing work that you do, they are just pointing out that £50+ apgs are not ideal for all of us in the long run as they may lead to A pulling the scheme altogether.

    Regardless, I love you to bits and I still want you to post as much as you possibly can. I am old enough, fat enough and ugly enough to make my own decisions regardless of what other people might think..:D:D
