Unbelievable!....I have just shut the door on a bunch of teenagers trying to sign people up to paying a donation by DD to a cancer charity :( 4 of them, very persistent, pitch black outside and completely ignoring no cold calling signs.
What are these charities thinking of employing people to do this and at this time of night? :( I know they need all the donations they can get but surely there has to better ways.
I have a lot of very elderly neighbours and can't imagine how frightened some of them must be greeted by a gang of very pushy people demanding their bank details late at night. scandalous! :(

Be careful, this is a tactic used by people who are scouting round houses before they burgle them. They've seen what sort of people live there, what the house is like and probably the initial layout from when you opened the door. Might be worth being extra vigilant for a while :(

thanks sunshinemummy you made me laugh :rotfl:

    as usual x

    I do try!

But seriously I cannot begin to comprehend how you are feeling. I have known people in similar situations were they have wrote lovely letters for the child's life story book, telling them how much they are loved and giving them permission to be happy.

There is also indirect contact if the worker has not discussed this with you, have a chat with them, and don't poopoo specialist counselling, it is really good xxx

That is awful. I would complain to the charity, they get commission for this so it is not as if they are volunteers, and they surely should not be out at this time of night, and should not be ignoring no cold calling signs. We are in a no cold calling area, and I have had to point it out to people more than once, including Jehovas witnesses!

I try to steer clear of conflict on here but this comment really annoyed me
DeeDee has recently found the Dove and the Radox glitch and now another dove glitch and this is the thanks she gets for her effort, people having a dig and then others liking it!! I wonder how many of those who thanked COTs post took advantage of DeeDees finds. I wouldn't blame DeeDee if she decided to stop sharing her finds on here, I sincerely hope she doesn't though as they've been a big help. People should shop as they feel comfortable and leave others to do the same!

And what if everyone who visited this site did the same, how long do you think the apg would last , 2 weeks, 3 ?

I'll stick with what I said, apg's that big are ridiculous.

Edit: If the initial cost was much higher then fair enough.

Your post was directly aimed at me though , I posted you posted couple of posts later £50. Apg's now at least cot quoted my post before saying talking the !!!! ..
I never saw one !!!!!y post when people had £40 plus apg's when the Ariel glitch!! Or on previous glitches.
Do you really think multiple shops in store using apg's multiple times a day (breaking the 10 apg rule)buying exactly the same items go unnoticed.

My apg certainly wasent ment to be that big :p
I'm not gonna say I shop for one or 2items as I don't I pay £5 delivery before I even start adding shopping if I wanted one or two items it's cheaper to buy them In store..

Oh they were there, but they tended to get deleted because they were a bit (shall we say?) heated :(

Fairclaire's post was a level headed word of caution and I think it is worth re-iterating from time to time

If someone wants to do 10 shops for 2 glitch items at a time or 2 shops with 10 glitch items at a time then that is up to the individual. There is nothing wrong (in my opinion) with people being made aware of all the facts and being more informed as to the potential consequences of hammering a glitch.
