Can you please post here

if...

Following KitKat upgrade, devices appear to show any of the following symptoms:

1. lose mobile signal
2. display 'No Sim' icons,
3. fall into Aeroplane mode (while not displaying Aeroplane Icon status)
4. Mobile signal can often be recovered by swapping into and out of Aeroplane mode.
5. Pop-up errors about being in Aeroplane mode while attempting to make calls during signal problems.
6. Aeroplane mode observed in about phone status (while no aeroplane mode shown on icons)
7.Popup errors - the process "com.android.phone" has stopped
8. Not specific to individual SIM cards - multiple SIMs (cutdown/original confirmed as impacted)
9. Suggestion that it only occurs with mobile data enabled - to be investigated.

Thank you

Lx

Moto have started to send out an update to hopefully cure many of these bugs

    https://motorola-global-en-uk.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/98313/session/L2F2LzEvdGltZS8xMzkyMzczMDc5L3NpZC9ZRVBtS1VNbA==/action/auth

Not yet seen the update in the UK but should arrive very soon.

Personally I've not experienced the issues.

We have not had any of those issues either, personally I think it is related more to US carriers and their SIMs although other countries have had some issues too.

Only issue we had was it logging 2 copies of SMS's in the sent box. Curiously this has resolved itself now , even without the phone or the SMS app being updated.

Wondering if it was a glitch caused by migrating SMS's and the problem has now been 'overwritten'

Equally interesting from the link you gave...

"Resolved USB OTG support issue - resolved a USB On The Go support issue that prevented Moto G from writing data to a connected USB storage device."

Looks like the OTG which was broken by the Kitkat update might be getting fixed, way to go Moto!

This problem is NOT an US issue it's a here and now UK & European issue. The update will be rolled out over the coming days, it is still in testing and is not glitch free.
The reason for my post was to highlight to people who are suffering problems that there are others and the more voices that are heard the better.

The release notes have been out for quite a while...they are more of an aims statement. Soak testing is still on going and glitchy.

Moto G has quite a few problems, including losing service as noted above and aeroplane mode turning itself on without a by your leave.

Don't know anyone who does have this problem, everyone is fine. I accept there are plenty people with issues though and unless there is a some sort of hardware manufacturing fault occurring the only different from one handset to the next is the SIM, APN settings and any apps added.
