*PRAISE* Branston Baked Beans

I might try the Branston ones as they seem to be popular. Do they come in small tins or only the larger one? I currently buy Sainsbury's own brand.

We started making our own baked beans using a tin of chopped tomatoes and a tin of haricot beans and an onion. (Basically a bean casserole) I have always been a Heinz only person and my husband had to convince me to try home made but after a few months we are all really enjoying them.

We bought a tin of Heinz reduced salt and sugar beans to try again, (this is what we had bought previously), and they were just horrid! Too sweet and runny. Amazing how your taste buds change and adapt!

My method is not cheaper but is certainly tastier.

I will try Branston now too

We use the branston beans and enjoy them more than Heinz. Same goes for the tomato ketchup. That's lovely too.

I always hated baked beans until I found branston's! I much prefer their ketchup to heinz too!

After my flatmate tried both we have agreed he is sticking with Heinz.


Reason being flatulence, after 2 tins of Branston's Beans I cannot sit in the same room as my flatmate.


Yet even after 3 tins of Heinz, it's like being in the fresh air of the countryside and when you're playing Minecraft for 12 hours straight rather doing your PhD you can understand why!


So please don't dis Heinz they are the original and the best.
