Yes I noticed quite a while ago that Heinz beans are all watery sauce and hardly any beans. What a swizz, I buy any brand but Heinz now - usually Branston.

So am I supposed to fis out of the recycling center all my tins from the last few years I mentioned :T
  • Branston are still good, but they have themselves become watery and smaller beans in the last year. I had a tin from a year ago the other week and they were much better. All cans I've brought recently were very different.

Still, better than the watery flavourless Heinz. IMHO ;)

Much better, the tomato sauce is actually reddish in colour for a start :)

Maybe the lack of ring pull will foil my big bean plan :(

Well what you could do is open the beans and pour into a saucepan/ or whatever you use to cook them when hes not around.

The heinz sauce is 'water' in comparison. I was surprised when I tried them a few years ago, well done Branston

The sauce stains any plastic tub they are stored /heated in so I do wonder if any colourant is added but they do taste good , however don't look for them in Tesco because they don't stock them any more - there was a thread about this on the 'Food shopping and groceries' thread.
