T-Mobile termination fee
I had two contracts with t mobile, an 18 month one with a phone, and a 12 month sim only. They were both running out in February so I phoned and after a bit of negotiation I got two pretty good sim only renewals and came away quite happy.
Anyway bill arrived yesterday and there is a £9.89 (vat-free) early termination penalty! I have phoned and argued that I hadn't cancelled, I had in fact renewed. The person I spoke to apologised and said it will be removed. I asked about another bill and was told it will come off the next bill. This could cause me issues with my mobiles.co.uk month 18 cashback.
I'll keep an eye on it to make sure I do get the penalty back, but I'm not impressed.

I had the exact same issue.
-contract expiring on 13/2.
-called up on 13/1 to give 30day notice and get port number.
-port number was only valid unlit 11/2...so there was no way I could not terminate early if I wanted to leave on the exact date my contract ended.
-Jan statement had about 23quid early termination fee. Called them and paid actual bill and they referred this fee to billing still no response.
-Got another port number on 18 jan and left t mobile on 17 Feb.
- got ANOTHER early termination fee. So TWO 23 pound fees on my account.
Tmobile service is terrible. back to Giffgaff!!0 -

Thanks nzpod. I had seen that post before, but I didn't use a pac code. In fact I renewed both contracts. So I'm effectively being penalised for not leaving!0
