    Hi,

oh well, next thing to watch for is when they pay the Jan fund rebate, no doubt they will take their quarterly fee on time.

Edit: How do I tidy up the CSV statements to make them readable in Open Office Calc, do I have to edit every entry?

    It's III.
    It may be Wednesday.
It may be some other day.
    Who knows?
    They wont! :p
  • My hope for those left with III is that 2015 will be a better year for customer service.

I'm sticking with it as there is no way I am committing any more money to this mickey mouse outfit, therefore in the long run it will work out cheaper for me. I still have a number of trading credits given to me in compensation for some of their shortcomings, which will cover moving the last of the holdings that I want to move from my trading account into my ISA and SIPP, thereafter I will be looking elsewhere for a more professional company for any further money I might wish to invest.

If your transfer is still not complete after 9 months then I strongly recommend you post a public message on their facebook page. My transfer took 8 months to complete and all the messages and phonecalls in the world had no effect. The only thing that worked was putting a comment on their facebook page and then they really jumped into action and hey presto, it was sorted out within days! Jennifer K did the same and got the same result. Give it a go and let us know how you get on! :j

I didn't post on facebook as I don't have an account. However it is a good tip which I will bear in mind for the future, though it is a sad state of affairs if only a public posting is effective.

One thing I had complained about was them not paying the transfer offer correctly. They had accepted this at time of my last posting but then failed to actually pay it. I sent another secure mail pointing this out and that the £50 commission credit compensation was of no use as I am an infrequent trader. I gave a deadline of 10 days or I'd raise formally with the ombudsman. For once I got a fast response by telephone.

Final part of transfer completed but think that may be due to me phoning HL directly rather than iii.

In the end I got a total of £100 compensation (cash not commission credit) but I'd have much rather that they had just done a good job in a reasonable time.
  • Good old III.
They have switched off access to my account.
Today they send me an email telling me I have a secure message. Wonder how I access the vital news?

Prompted by the discussion of tax credits on the previous page I've checked and I've received no tax credits for my M&G Optimal Income fund held in my ISA. There have been two distributions this year: May and November and I've not seen a penny of reclaimed tax.

Just sent a secure message but this is really saddening that we have to chase things like this.

I checked HL and they paid tax credits for this fund on the last day of the May and in early December, with no begging necessary.

I'm getting more and more tempted to see if HL will honour the deal they offered me just before I jumped ship...

Well unsurprisingly I haven't even had a response from III on this, and have just chased them again.

In the meantime I've gone to HL and asked them if they will still honour the offer they made to me last year (lower, capped platform fee in response to my complaint) if I transfer back. Not sure what the chance of that is, but worth the ask. I will happily pay slightly more with HL now than stay with III.
