Its funny that each time i login into the II website, I get more and more annoyed, no dividends and no answers to my secure messages.
It would will be nice to have to have a broker, who I don't have to chase up every month.0 -
I have an investment in M&G UK Inftn Lkd Corp Bd A Acc. These are Net units and I have been chasing Trustnet Direct / iii for tax credits. In their latest communication with me they say:I can confirm that I have checked with our Dividends team and they have confirmed that your M&G UK Inftn Lkd Corp Bd A Acc GB00B44VX079 fund accumulation was treated as Gross and therefore no tax was deducted. This accumulation can be treated differently by different fund network providers and with FNZ this is treated Gross.0

Does this make sense? How can the accumulation be treated differently by different fund network providers? Surely the accumulation is done by the fund not the fund network provider. Do they mean that they have decided not to bother to claim tax credits for this fund?
I know this sounds odd, but I am beggined to suspect that it's true, because with AJ Bell they show your tax paid, which is very usefull, but I have noticed the money paid to me has gone dowm from what II used to pay, so I suspect one treats it as Gross and one as Net. It also seems a little weird.0 -

Interesting I've just chased them re tax reclaim on a different M&G ACC bond fund so wonder if I'll get the same response. They'd previously told me i should get the money back at end of Jan..0 -
Some funds have a gross class which you can hold in an ISA and some pay gross on distribution into the ISA.
On other funds, you have to wait until the platform reclaims the tax.

"Can you claim the tax back on income from Funds that is paid into my ISA?
If the income is paid from fixed interest funds such as corporate bond funds, we will either receive the payment gross and pay the full amount into your ISA or we will receive it net of 20% tax, and we will reclaim the tax back from HM Revenue & Customs then pay it into your ISA. "0 -

Yes, I understand that but I've checked and the "A Class" units are Net not Gross and as it's an accumulation fund there is no interest distributed and my understanding was that the platform had to reclaim the tax.0 -
Have they stopped responding on their secure messaging system? Still no reply to my message from mid Jan, no reply to any follow up messages since then.
How many others here are waiting for replies to messages sent on the secure system and that are over 48 hours old?0 -
Did I send them a secure message about a missing tax reclaim before christmas, or was it just a dream? I distinctly recall receiving a couple of messages apologising for the delay at the 2 week and 1 month mark, but then...0

Looks like they are not bothering with replying to secure messages any more, sent them one last Thursday and got nothing. It's not a suprise, i normally get a response about 50% of time, if I'm lucky.0
