    you could well be quoting an internal maximum discretion but it doesn't mean it is an automatic right.
    This was my thought too when I said earlier;
    I think the Gingerfurball is merely relating his own experience and what he was told by the operator.
    Like you, I suspect it'll be the maximum amount that call centre staff are allowed (at their own discretion) to refund without recourse to management or another department.
  • I didn't forget.

    Look, it's no skin off my nose if people opt not to believe me. But if you've had unplanned O/D charges or returned item fees, call Lloyd's and you can get up to £80 refunded or waived once in a 12 month period.

    Then I don't know why you quoted my post in the response as that was the question I was asking. :huh:

    It's no skin of my nose either that I opt not to believe the random postings of an anonymous user on an internet forum.

    Now if there was a link to a reliable source confirming such assertions, that would be another matter ;)
  • Shake the tree, if you don't believe me look at my post bandicoot421 in this forum a couple of days ago!
  • Shake the tree,
    You apparently had account fees refunded, that's hardly the same as Bank charges...
  • hi all ,i have a packaged account with lloyds , firstly around 2005 i had the normal current account i remember getting a call from the bank asking me to come in to review my account which i did.. they told me they were fazing the account which i held out so i had to have the premier account at a charge of £17 a month ... in 2008 i was going on a family holiday to america so i asked for a overdraft just in case anything happened while away , they said i could have free £500 overdraft only if i changed accounts to the premier at £25 a month which i did reluctently
    do you recon i could claim anything back?
  • Probably not as a £500 fee and interest free overdraft is only available with a Premier Account.
