Not found one yet myself. But after the article in Saturday's Sun I had a look through my coin collection and found I have a rare, according to them, London 2012 Offside Rule 50p and 'Pemember Pemember' Guy Fawkes £2 coins.'...luck came to those who left a space for it.' Terry Pratchett0

This is deliberate manipulation of the market by the Mint. Remember, it is no longer really the Royal Mint, it is now a business which has to make a profit. That is why there are so many silly commemorative coins issued each year to rip off collectors. The mintage of this coin is very low indeed. This is no accident, it is a marketing ploy to gain publicity and encourage people to buy future commemorative 50p issues in the hope that they also will be worth more than face value. Don't be fooled and don't play their pathetic game!0

I looked through my sealed pot after reading the article and got all excited when I found one - pretty dinged up but it's definitely the right one

i have seen a bit of movement with lots of fakes on ebay lately , re the kew gardens 50p and the eu coin mentioned in this post
i have also noticed and bought a good how to tell fakes guide , with a free coin , a few sellers on there apparently been selling fakes like no tomorrow .... bought it and would like to pass onto our members here if you buy one.... then in the message put loyal15 , they will refund you 15% instantly ... and there under a tenner at the mo ! ....
got the coin, it looks perfect just has the word copy under the queens head very small, i used it to fill my missing kew gardens space in the coin hunt folder from the royal mint ...fills it nicely , and not for 80-100 quid the real ones are going for on ebay... seriously ?..100 quid for a 50p coin !!! ooops ... search ebay for i think it was kew gardens 50p guide on how to spot fakes , i dont think im allowed to put links in here or am i ?0 -
