:hello: Goooood Morning fellow OS’ers :D:D:D

Hope everyone is doing well under their given circumstances, haven’t had an opportunity to catch up with all the news yet.

PC had to go to the PC hospital for a major operation; thankfully, it wasn’t as costly as I’d feared and now it’s back up and running again. :j

Car goes in for her first ever MOT this morning – she’s officially 3yrs old today :D

Went to see Shrek the Third last Saturday – what a hoot! Now I have a Shrek baby sitting on my bed (a gift). If you haven’t seen it, go! I ached from laughing.

Anyone else go through fits and starts with aspects of OS’ing? After a while of not using them, we’re now back into eating sprouting seeds again; forgotten how tasty they are! Particularly tasty in tortilla wraps, or at least, that’s how we’ve been enjoying them recently.

Both my lads now have girlfriends – aw, cute! and there’s a chorus of message alerts echoing around the house each and every evening now. Do wish they’d put them on silent mode  Mind you, wish I could put the lads on silent mode sometimes too!

Uniforms need washing, but the weather isn’t promising for line drying, so it’ll be racks over the bath today. Other tasks, especially now the PC is back and working, will be catching up with the accounts and using my food inventory list to draw up a menu plan/shopping list. Have a couple of double points coupons for Tesco, so I need to check out their prices on kettles – they don’t seem to have much of a shelf life these days – as the one I’m using is extremely temperamental and will only boil if it’s at a particular angle on the base and not at all if it’s so much as a fraction off!

Signed up for a Christmas Ornament Exchange so I’m going to get ahead with that; sort through my fabrics/patterns/card making stash and see what ideas I can come up with. Life will pick up a pace in September so if I can make a start now, it will deter any last minute panics.

Should be picking up 2 bantams next week, so fresh eggs will hopefully be the order of the day :j :j

Right, time for a fresh cuppa and a catch up, plus get our July PMS thread sorted. ((hugs)) for those who need/want them and wishing you all a moneysaving Saturday! :D:D
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 20th June 2007. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

    Good morning everyone.

DH is resting today after a minor op yesterday, so it's up to me today to keep the children entertained, do the housework, cooking and look after DH. If I'd not been awake most of the night I'd be raring to go. So my plan is to do some baking with DS1 and not worry too much about the inevitable mess. We washed his playdo cutters in preperation a couple of days ago so hopefully by the end of today we'll have trains and cars for snack!

If I get the chance I'm going to have a look in the yard to see if my tomato, pepper, squash and courgettes are still alive after the terrible rain.

Breakfast - h/m cereal and fruit
    Lunch - pasta and salad
Dinner - cabbage galette with roast tomatoes
    Snack - trains and cars!

I'm using red cabbage in the galette so I'm hoping the dough won't go pink!

I hope you all have a peaceful weekend.
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

MORNING QUEENIE, KYLE AND AMIE and all who follow.
QUEENIE - I wondered where you'd got to; I missed you.
KYLE - Happy Birthday to DS :bdaycake: :bdaycake: and enjoy the wedding - hope the weather behaves itself.
AMIE - Happy Birthday to Mr Amie :bdaycake: :bdaycake: - I'm five years older than my DH! You know what they say - you're as old as the man you feel!

I haven't seen the latest Shrek yet but the others have been brilliant. I think my favourite character is the donkey - the first time I saw - and heard - him I nearly died laughing!

It's quite dull outside this morning but not raining at the moment. I don't think it will stay dry so may need to put the airer up - I try hard not to use the TD if I can help it but may have to today because I've got towels to wash.

I'm really glad I did all my food shopping yesterday - normally I do it on a Saturday and it's a bit of a rush to get to the Co-op before it gets too busy, but today I can have a leisurely shower and wake up gradually. I have baking and ironing planned so it won't be a totally lazy day, unfortunately.

    CRAZYCHIK - congratulations to your babysitter!:j :j

Going to have another cuppa now so see you all later. Have a great morning!

:bdaycake: Happy Birthday kyle's ds1 :bdaycake:

:bdaycake: Happy Birthday Mr AMIE :bdaycake:

Speedy Recovery Wishes, Mr GR!

:hello: Welcome Home, Kathy! :hello: I've been thinking about you too! How was the wedding? Italy? France? If you have too much ironing, I have a very willing 13yo ds who is just *begging* for some ironing to do to earn a few extra pennies - he's going swimming with his girlfriend on Monday; a date! ;) :shhh:  He can't cash in on my ironing ... he cleared the basket earlier this week in one of his charm offensives

PS: Susie, well done on your weightloss! :T :T :T

  • Morning all! It's my DD's birthday too! So many birthdays today!! Happy birthday to everyone :bdaycake:

It's dull here but NOT raining at the moment, hallelujah. Am sick of sloshing about in puddles. My tomatoes are still alive but only just, but most of my other veggies have drowned I think

I have a lot of sewing to do today since it's wedding season and for some reason the brides insist that their dresses fit them:rotfl:, then later on we'll treat DD to a birthday dinner at a restaurant she's found on the Net which looks scrummy, Mediterranean type food which should be healthy and hopefully not too expensive ;)

Not much other news from the Flittersnoop camp, oh yes DS20 got his end of year university exam results yesterday, did really well, should get a First next year if he stops partying and starts working......

Right, time for more coffee and then I must get on with these dresses....

    Have a great day everyone.
