Firefox does exactly the same
ie) Popping up with the same "Page can't be displayed" error - seemingly at random (ie First time - error - subsequent times - page loads OK)
Some pages load 100% - 100% of the time - there seems no pattern to it !!0 -
When I logon to my Router - I have Dynamic DNS as a sub-menu on the LHS - When opened - this page has the SERVICE PROVIDER "www.DynDNS.org filled in - with use a dynamic DNS as a tick box above and HOST NAME, USER NAME and PASSWORD - needed !!
Is this what you mean ?
If you don't know what Dynamic DNS means, then you most likely don't need it. It has nothing to do with the DNS servers the router will use.
There must be a different setting in your router where you can either automatically use your ISP's DNS servers or set the primary and secondary (or even more) DNS servers manually. Set it to Google's (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) or OpenDNS's (208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220) or a mix of both and your problems should be gone.0 -

No, dynamic DNS is something completely different (it's trying to make it easier to host a website on your computer). Turn it off if you don't have a use for it, and look for the main DNS settings.
If you can't find any other DNS settings, establish the model of your router, and try to find the manual online. At least post the model here, to better your chance of someone being able to help.0 -
Router is Netgear DG834GT
Thanks

Fixed it - I changed the DNS settings to OpenDNS and can't get the error to reoccur
BRILLIANT - thanks0
