Hi I'm in again please but need to work out the May budget.

I'm about to go back to Slimming World so can anyone out there who is doing SW let me know if their budget had to increase to cover the extra fruit and veggies and yoghurts, please?

I could never get mine down on SW. I've piled on the weight again now; but managed to reduce my budget finally.

I didn't find much if any change in our budget when I was following SW super strictly - I guess it depends on what you would usually buy pre-SW and how much that changes. As I'm the cook bf just had to have the same as me but maybe with one or two extras and we always had fruit. veg and yogurts etc in anyway. If anything some spends went down as suddenly only bf was eating the 'treats' so they lasted longer if i bought any!

I'm about to go back to loosely following SW's EE plan (I say loosely as I can't be super strict given our current commitments to tournaments/travel/training etc and because in the summer we eat a lot of salads etc anyway) and have recently lowered our monthly budget from £100per month to £80 as I now have more time to shop around and cook good food!

Today I have created an overview of my May budget and commitments to help with my planning, it includes the following points:
    * month runs 25th April to 24th May
    * we are away Friday-Monday over the early Bank Holiday weekend (different budget mostly bar snacks/treats we want to take) - breakfasts have been included in the hotel cost, 3 lunches (possible we will just do big brekkies, light/snacky lunch and then decent evening meal) and 3 evening meals to cover
    * bf is away 9th-22nd so only me to cater for these days as bubs is catered for (combination feeding breast and formula which we already have)
    * I will go to my parents for 3 nights but offer to contribute to their budget
    * only pet expense will be £1.50 on 6 weeks worth of mini/training treats (we have a 15kg bag of his food)
    * take aways not included - they are usually bf's choice so as they go against my plan he has to pay ;)
    * the freezer is fit for bursting and I would like to use up as much as possible and start again with filling it to ensure stuff doesn't get forgotten!
    * each week there is usually minimum 1 evening training session when I take a salad with me and bf has wraps for tea as we leave early-ish and are not back until almost mid night!

    Spend of £1.51 yesterday.
Today frugal Mr F took a £5 reward voucher to Mr T and spent just 5p. Also spent 35p on whoops leeks + 45p on whoops satsumas. Spent £1.55 in Ledl on red onions + flour. Then £2.22 in Aldo.
Mr F took a £1 Heston Blu....voucher in to Waitflower - no hot cross buns in there so got a malt loaf instead - for voucher. If you don't ask - you don't get!

Splurged today as dog food and washing powder on special (spent £68 on them instead of £106!!!!). Hideously expensive I know, but should last for aaaages.

Overall spent £96.34 on those, catfood and groceries for the week (almost everything). Planned meals and stuck to my list so have given self pat on back despite the huge dent in the budget already this month. :D
