Logged back in to the Tesco account and the voucher code that was displayed when we logged in has now gone! Pesky sneaky Tesco!
Good thing I hadn't made the full order up yet.
Naughty take away tonight as I couldn't be bothered cooking and its a nice treat for bf as it was his first day back at work following paternity leave today!
Will be throwing myself back on the healthy eating wagon (with a few little treats added in but not as many as I'm having currently!) from Monday [I find I do better if I set a definite date rather than a 'ooh I'll start tomorrow' or 'when all the ''bad'' foods are eaten'] so will be scoffing plenty of home cooking and salads - much easier with the improving weather************************************

Sorry, really late to the party this month but would like to show a budget of £200 for the month of April please. Iv had such a busy month and also have birthdays coming up and a holiday over easter with 3 grandkids so going to be quite challenging. Would anyone else consider taking their slow cooker on a caravan holiday? There will be 2 adults and 3 kids and we will probably eat out 3 or 4 times, but it would be good to prepare meal in a morning and go out for the day and have a meal ready and waiting for when we got back for the rest of the week. Thanks
We also have a motorhome and I have noticed that slow cookers are very popular. I have one that plugs into the battery, you just put a towel in the sink, slow cooker on top and it cooks the meal while you are travelling. Haven't used it at campgrounds because of the drain on the batteries, but have seen a lot of people using them.
Hope you have a great holiday.0 -
NSD today although nearly succumbed as passed a M&S food only shop and was very tempted. Tonight we had hm chicken supreme and some salad but forgot to take a photo.

Another NSD.
As long as I convince myself theres enough food in the house and I dont go into a shop for anything I can easily get through the day.
might pop to the local farmers market on Saturday, its a once a month event and I havent been able to make it all year. It does really good veg so may buy some out of the ordinary bits for the weekend.0 -
I did a big Ald! shop, spent £48.43, including a £10 bottle of spirits.
I've been exhausted this week because I'm running a science holiday course for 9-11 year olds, they're all lovely kids but I am glad tomorrow is the last day! I also had a 90 minute tutoring session after that, and I couldn't be bothered to cook when I got back so dinner was fish and chips from the chippy (£7.90), we realised it was the first time we've gotten a "takeaway" since we moved into this flat 6 months ago!
I found a receipt for an Anniversary card I bought my parents last week (£2.99), it's terrible how easy it is to forget you've spent money. I'm glad I bought it though because they phoned on the day to say thanks for the card and for reminding them - they'd both totally forgotten about it!! To be fair they mainly celebrate the day they started going out, but they made sure to go out for a nice meal that evening!November GC: £50.55/£130. October GC: £72.60/£150

Lost a receipt but thankfully paid on my debit card so still know what I spent - up to £107.87 now so fingers crossed I can still make it. Main problem is the cat started throwing up all the time a few months back and we now know its caused by dried food, so we've had to have her on wet - miles more expensive especially as she'll only really eat Whisk*s (she was on own brand dried food and perfectly happy with it before she started throwing up!).

Hi all, hope you've had good days.
I had uu meals today (use up). Breakfast was a cinnamon porridge, lunch was lo mash, lo baked beans and lo grated cheese. Yum! Dinner was mushroom, onion and garlic cream cheese pasta. I smiled as I ate my meals today, as they were lo bits that in a past life would've been thrown away. The grated cheese was lo from Mondays spag Bol, the mash and beans from Sunday's dinner, the mushrooms and half an onion from the spag Bol again, and the cream cheese from lunches, needed using up today really. Really quite pleased with myself!!
It's date night tomorrow night, but I can't be bothered to cook... I do however, have one portion each of the mushroom pasta and the spag bol, so that's what we're having!
I'm absolutely loving the not spending side of things. Wanted something to do today, and going to a sm is my normal activity, but I just didn't want to go. Go me!! May have to give in tom though, as the g pig really needs food!
Night all

Managed another NSD.
Had HM shepherds pie (made with LO lamb joints) with steamed green beans, cabbage and gravy. Made extra 2 portions to freeze and there is enough meat base for 10 more portions to freeze (couldn't make up as out of spuds/time/room in freezer :rotfl: It really is one of my favouritable dishes.
Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday
