  • I'm having a weird month so far, no grocery shopping at all so far but I have been cooking bits and pieces from the pantry. Hoping to make it through to this weekend without buying anything (cos then it's payday!) but ALSO hoping not to completely blow the budget just because it's payday!

Tonight's dinner was rice noodles and pasta sauce. I still have a few eggs and one slice of bread, plus milk, frozen lentils, cooked rice, cheese, froz spinach and potatoes. Plus frozen chicken, steaks and one piece of fish in the freezer.

    :D

£15.57 spent on my weekly shop, the fridge seems to be groaning under the weight of this and my expensive top up shop from last weekend, so I'm hoping to only spend a few pounds between now and after Easter on milk and odd bits.

We're away for Easter, so next week should be a light shop for a few snacks to take with us for the journey.

Total remaining budget stands at £123.68/£180.
We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.

When I finally got logged on to Tesco online to start creating a shopping list I used bf's account as it has all our recent purchases on and our club card where as my account has my parents clubcard on and as he hasn't done an order in ages we have a £12 off £60 spend code :) It means spending more than planned but the extra will carry over as we will get baby supplies and treats for the next tournament out of it so will save money in the long run :)

Bought 3 Sun newspapers today. The voucher in in lasts for ten days so that will cover two weeks of shopping. I am going to do a third shop as a bulk buy, buying cat food, washing powder etc! That's the plan. Hope it's a sensible one. I should just about come in at budget but with loads of essentials for the following month. Fingers crossed!
